Tracen is well built for someone his age, wearing clothes that do little to hide his tone. His height is about average, about a hair or so taller than others. His hair reaches down to about his ears, and is a dark shade of blue. For clothes, he usually ears lighter white or blue shaded tops, with red armguards/gloves, black pants. Under his left glove, embedded directly into his hand, is a lacrima orb. Tracen's alter ego always wears a mask, to differentiate himself from his normal self. The mask is white with red tribal marks. On Tracen's back is a spear, his weapon of choice.
personality
Casual interaction with Tracen is much like interacting with a reflection. Tracen picks up on others' emotions around him, subconsciously absorbing and emulating them. If someone is excited about a particular topic, Tracen will also be excited. With a calm person, Tracen will be more subdued. If someone is rude or aggressive towards Tracen, he will respond back equally rude.
Tracen suffers from dissociative identity and amnesia, which can make it seem like he has two personalities. One personality suffers from extreme memory loss, unable to recall any of his childhood or facts about himself. This version is extremely curious about the world, wanting to learn more. The memory loss doesn't bother him much, and he thinks it is an opportunity to see the world without bias. He is unaware of his alter ego, but is aware of time loss and a general sense of something missing, or something deeper within himself. The 'other' Tracen is far more quiet, generally focused on his goal of killing both dragons and their dragon slayers. Alter Tracen has a low opinion of others, though his opinion of himself is also fairly low. This version of himself is much more impatient and aggressive, and also does not suffer the same identity memory loss. He wears a white tribal mask, purposely distancing himself from his other version.

history
Tracen originally was the eldest of three children, his younger siblings being Saigara and Hanaka. The Tenshou family was very active in Fiore's military, with both parents serving the Magic Council. When Tracen turned 15, he followed the family legacy and joined the Magic Council. Tracen found that he was able to pick up on combat and magic very quickly compared to his peers, and was promoted very rapidly within their ranks. Unfortunately it was a bad time to be popular. Three years after joining the Magic Council, Fiore had to defend its borders against Valland.
Valland launched a direct attack on Tracen's hometown, Era. Valland left a swathe of destruction, destroying both the Royal Family and the previous Magic Council head. More than that, Era was completely decimated, and suffered heavy casualties. Among the dead were his parents, and his younger sister Hanaka. Only his younger brother Saigara had survived, and he too had chosen to join the Magic Council against Valland. The event was a grim reminder of everything that Tracen fought to protect. Yet despite Tracen's best efforts to remain close to his brother, Saigara purposely distanced himself.
Valland's assault was effectively thwarted, but Fiore had changed as a result – and especially the Magic Council. Tracen soon found that the decisions he used to make easily were questioned at every step. Things such as helping people became less important than the law – something Tracen could not even pretend to follow. Despite his help in the war, Tracen was demoted to little more than a normal soldier.
Then came the infamous Magic Council split, which tore not only Fiore in half, but also the two brothers apart. Saigara followed the new order of Crusaders, while Tracen stayed with Cornelius von Argon as one of the 'Loyalists.' And then, right when Tracen was determined to do his best for the Loyalists and Fiore, he... vanished. No one saw or heard from him for years.
The exact details are pretty sketchy in Tracen's mind, even the masked one that has his 'full' memories. He was captured by Valland, and handed over to the same scientist that had developed technology to artifically control dragons. Tracen was compatible with a very rare type of lacrima, implanting it directly into his hand, which gave access to shadow dragon slayer abilities. Valland wanted a weapon that it could unleash against Fiore, but it wasn't something Tracen would do willingly. For three years, the scientist worked patiently to destroy Tracen's ego, and replace it with false memories of atrocities comitted by dragons and the dragonslayers. It didn't exactly work, but it didn't exactly fail, either. Sometimes Tracen would desire revenge against these false acts, while other times he couldn't remember who he was or anything about the world.
The new law order of Fiore, the templars, had heard rumors about some kind of secret Valland resistance (the war was already over at this point). They launched an attack on the lab where Tracen was held. The scientist managed to flee with most of his assets, but Tracen was not one of them. (Rumor had it that the Valland scientist had a new, and better, project that was worth his attention.) The Templars had rescued Tracen, but found that he had no memory of who he was, or what had happened. Fortunately some recognized him from his time within the Magic Council, and at least gave him his name to keep as Tracen Tenshou. Despite the Templars' worry and insistence that Tracen stay with them for protection, Tracen had an incurable desire to explore the world. He thought his time without memories was temporary, and that it could be an opportunity to see Fiore without bias of previous experiences. And so, he began to travel Fiore...
Primary Magic
Name: Shadow Lacrima Dragon Slayer Description: This magic is very similar to Shadow Dragon Slayer magic, but is powered by the lacrima on Tracen's hand. He can 'eat' shadows and dark magic attacks, which increases his own skills. Unlike a real dragon slayer, Tracen is not completely immune to his element, just highly resistant. Shadow Lacrima Dragon Slayer magic can alter or condense shadows into a chosen shape, create voids, or appear to be something else.
Signature Ability
Name: Void Element: shadow Description: A black hole 'hangs' in the air, where Tracen places it. This void sucks up magical energy, making it nearly impossible to cast weak spells, and weakens even strong spells. This includes Tracen's other abilities as well. The void cannot be moved, only dispelled, and takes a considerable amount of energy.
