Steel stands firmly at six and a half feet tall; he’s fairly wide shouldered and rarely slouches. He rarely deals with people of his height so he’s generally geared towards slightly looking down, giving his neck a bit of an angle downwards. Adorning his head are locks of white hair, relatively spikey and not very well groomed; steel usually allows his hair to do whatever it wants save for keeping it short to just above his eyebrows so that it does not get in the way of his eyes. His eyes themselves are a rather dark blue, almost black in color. His body itself is well toned and athletic from the years of him serving in the Templers.
When he is on duty Steel is often wearing what amounts to full plate armor that grants him quite a bit of protection. The armor itself is silver in color with gold styles over the pauldrons, chest and hip plates. Over his pauldrons and along the back part of his coif lay a snow pelt of sorts that flows down to just above his knees, he can wrap it about himself in a cloak like manner. His legs, feet, arms and hands however are adorned in armor that is a darker shade of blue. At his left hip you can often find a sword of some form resting comfortably in it’s sheathe.
When steel is off duty he usually is found wearing a loose long sleeved shirt and baggy pants. He tends to avoid boots and sticks with softer materials for his shoes. His favorite color for his off duty outfits are green shirts with tannish pants. [below is a img beware the expansion may cause a spike of lag]
Adaptable: When it comes to dealing with new people or new things in general Steel can easily do so, it doesn’t take much for him to get used to something or change on the fly. Even if it’s something that’s completely opposite of what he was doing before it doesn’t take much for him to get geared into such a thing.
Fair Minded: Everyone deserves to explain themselves, everyone deserves a second chance, He got a second chance didn’t he? Why wouldn’t he allow other people to have the same that he did? When it comes to rights or the like in general Steel views everyone the same, just hands needing guidance on the blade that is their life; wether it’s now or down the road is completely up to them. If they don’t wish for his help that’s fine too!
Hard Working: Even if it isn’t related to his job Steel puts himself into just about anything, usually he doesn’t stop what he’s doing until it’s finished of course unless that thing would end up having someone get hurt or the like [especially if it was some group of innocence!]
Loyal: Steel is simply loyal to his people, loyal to those that he serves. He is loyal to his job and loyal to the council for allowing him such an opportunity. He is loyal to the men that serve under him even if he hasn’t met every single one of them [lord knows he tries though.].
Polite: Steel is what you could say the young man whom helps the old lady across the street; Every time that they need help… He’s fairly well spoken and allows people to finish what they are saying without usually interrupting them, he goes about opening doors for people and often will get stuck holding doors for people if there are enough folks in an area passing through said doors. [It’s a curse really.] That being said it isn’t hard for him to strike up a conversation, it’s fairly disarming to those that are hot headed often enough.
Arrogant: Success has for the better part made Steel rather arrogant, he doesn’t believe there is not a thing that he cannot do. Were he to ever run into some event he cannot handle… well he could potentially cease to function properly.
Flirtatious: When it comes to the ladies or men that he finds rather attractive Steel won’t waste time slipping subtle hints in his overall polite manner to the person whom has gained his eyes. That being said he doesn’t handle rejection too terribly well and will get quite surprised if one turns him down.
Impatient: When it comes to time or just general travel Steel doesn’t actually like waiting, he never really did even when he was younger. He hates waiting and tries to make it so other people don’t HAVE to wait. This leads to him micro-managing his men’s time or just people in general; he doesn’t like it when things go to waste either which sometimes ends in him snapping on someone [which is fairly rare.]
Unpredictable: As much as a blessing or curse you could say it’s hard to guess what this man is thinking, he’s been in so many different situations ontop of just doing different things that often people will avoid him after a time since they don’t know how he’ll act past being polite. Any relationships that he usually entertains will go through bouts of this unpredictable behavior; it only gets worse as time passes….
history
896: Steel is born, His mother lacking proper medical care at the time of birth dies. His father a bartender for a unofficial Wizard’s guild by the name of Ebon Souls missed his own child’s birth is forced to take care of his child and manage his job.
897-900: Testing was done on Steel for a few years to see if he had magic like his mother and father. On his fourth year of life it was noticed that things often hardened around him making them “Steel” like. His father was a bit surprised to say the least seeing as how he had magic that wasn’t even close to that.
901-910: Early on Steel simply kept paces with those in Ebon Souls, helping his father out with the bar and trying his best not to rile anyone that was in it. It was a fairly boring until his father started teaching him tips and tricks about his own magic even though he lacked a proper foundation himself. His pops also attempts to teach Steel the art of sword play; rather successfully. Upon hearing rumours about the dragon’s disappearance Steel was fairly confused as to why they would leave in the first place.
914: Ebon Souls disbands after the death of the Guildmaster, oddly his father died around the same time leaving Steel to fend for himself now that he was older. He starts to wander about searching for a purpose in the world again. He’s met by issue after issue since folks seem to have something against Guildless Wizards for some reason. After about half a year of wandering he ends up offering his services to the current wizard council. He is not refused and undergoes some formal training.
915-918: Upon The council Seizing control of Fiore Steel is dispatched with a group of paladins to observe some of the smaller towns on the outskirts of the country and assist in defending them in needed. Only a few battles are fought inside of one of the larger towns, once the war itself is ended Steel and the surviving Paladins members assigned to the area breathe a sigh of relief. Steel and the few Paladins assigned there are recalled elsewhere and undergo some more formal training.
919: Steel and his group of Paladins are separated among the order, he is assigned to hunting for Guildless wizards along with his new commanding officer and a large group of Paladins. They have a few successful hunts which leave a bad taste in Steel’s mouth. His commanding officer is killed before they get the message that the hunts are over and he has to take over. He forces his group to go back to the magic council just in time for the schism. His paladin group is a part of the loyalist faction of the “council”.
920: Steel’s paladin group assigns itself to a Town that is considered loyal to the proper Magic council. They defend it from several attacks of a few different factions.
921: Steel’s group hears about the attack of Vallund and are simply just too far out of the way to get there in a good amount of time. They offer their services to the town once again and settle down ready to fight off what might be an impending invasion. They thankfully do not have to upon hearing the news later in the year.
922: Upon the democratic shift in the political powers the town that Steel’s group had protected sends a representative. Steel and the templars go along with them back to the magic council, they are welcomed back with warm smiles and tales of what had occurred. They agree to see the representative back to their town once the discussions are done. During the travel to and fro they miss the dragon event that the dragon slayers stopped completely.
923-924: The paladins are reformed as a group called the Templars. They now become fully functional and no longer have the small numbers they had before. For his service Steel is promoted to sub-commander of his division and given a batch of new recruits ready to see the world and try to keep it right in the head.
Primary Magic
Name: Steel Weave Description: Steel can focus his magic into an object and make said object as hard if not harder than steel. This can be done to multiple objects at once but only lasts a short time if he is not constantly holding it. The amount of magic power he dumps into an object the stronger it'll become. This doesn't actually affect the normal build of an object and the said object can still break if enough pressure is put onto it. Steel also can manipulate his own weaved objects from a short distance; though this in itself is still significantly weaker than his own force behind it. It's guessed if he had enough control it's possible he'd be able to do it to his own skin; whether or not it's true... is just up to the masses.
Signature Ability
Name: Steel Cull Element: Steel Description: Steel hardens a swath of air in the form of several swords, the air itself shimmers and dances about. Steel then will grip a total of eight swords [one between each finger including the thumbs] and either throw or slash with them. The "Swords" do not last long in themselves and fade rather quickly.
