Fiore went through a lot of harrowing changes over the last several years, with the official abolition of the Magic Council and the monarchy, the implementation of new governments, and the rise and fall of several dark guilds. It had been almost too quiet, with people having almost too much free time to pursue their goals within this new realm of possibilities. The Council of Fiore and its ever-vigilant Templars have more approval from the people of Fiore (especially the non-magical ones) than any other governing body Fiore has had in recent memory. In appreciation of the people, they're holding a grand Festival in the appropriately named Grand City - the city that sprang up around the new government headquarters, designed to be a symbol of lasting hope and peace in Fiore.
The Festival will run throughout the season and has entertainment of all kinds, from carnival games to parades and, most importantly, the Freedom Tournament - an event encouraging each of the guilds show off their capabilities by helping the people of Fiore in a series of challenges.
Events will be posted over time, with details on how to participate.
