I have a theory about Dragon Slayer magic. We all know they can eat their preferred elements and gain more power by eating magic of that element. Somehow, they also are able to eat the magic of other Dragon Slayers and assimilate it, allowing them to occasionally use that element in the future. How is that possible? I think they can also eat the magic of dragons regardless of element. The dragons that raised them fed them magic of their own elements, but that is the magic of dragons. Dragon Slayers can eat magic of elements closely related to their own, but their magic is also Dragon magic.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but almost none of the dragons at the Grand Magical Games used magic or breath attacks. The exception being Zirconis, the Jade Dragon, and he consciously chose not to use his magic against Wendy, the Sky Dragon Slayer. They knew the Dragon Slayers could eat their magic, and since Dragon Slayer magic could affect them even without their contribution they did not want to give up that edge. Makes sense, don't you think?
Now, we've only seen this done with Dragon Slayers who were raised by dragons eating magic from lacrima-based Dragon Slayers (and not, for instance, God Slayers), but I thought it would be fun to speculate what forms my robot Dragon Slayer could acquire using this method.
Blacklight Dragon (+ Shadow) In this form, Mecha Crisis sports glowing "Tron-lines"and emissive eyes that shine like blacklight.
I know there is already a precedent for this combo, but that was a Shadow Dragon Slayer having absorbed Light Dragon Slayer magic. Or the entire Dragon Slayer. I'm not entirely clear on what happened.
Solar Flare Dragon (+ Fire) Mecha Crisis' forearms and calves ignite and he gains a mane of blazing plasma. Eyes also glow bright orange.
Aurora Dragon (+ Ice) A shimmering aura surrounds him and he produces a fine mist. Panels open on his forearms, displaying an aurora-like shifting pattern.
Neon Dragon (+ Lightning) Glowing tubes emerge from his limbs and glow in various colors, well as markings on his face and eyes.
Mirror Dragon (+ Iron) Major surfaces are reflective.
