Black boots pattered loudly against the stone sidewalks that laced the streets of Magnolia Town, with the cool breeze running from the water to tickle his hands and face. His arms were draped with a tight fitting black sweater, while his legs were covered in matching black pants and his long dreads hanging loose. Swinging and dancing in front of his shimmering gray visage. An audible sigh escaping from his lips while his body flowed through the busy streets and he made his ways to a small patch of the town that reminded him of a baby forest. There was a large clearing in the center of this bussle of greenery, and he often came there to train his magic or spar with a willing passerbyer.
Moving to the center of this small, perfectly circular path of short grass, he began to stretch and warm himself up. Working on his breathing and limbering up his long, lean limbs, Sebastian did this for about 5 minutes and then he began to move almost like a dancer in the center of the 'ring'. A swift thrust of his palms, with a few jabs coming in smooth intervals before he was finally feeling beads of sweat roll from his cranium. Caramel skin glistening in the mid day sun, and that was when he had finally started to use magic in his training.
"Flamethrower!"
Sebastian yelled and suddenly a powerful stream of fire was running through the air, his mouth tilted toward the sky and the strength of the fire pushing up some dirt at his feet. The air was perfectly scorched 10 feet in front of his mouth and he was now wiping his lips and patting his forehead dry with his sleeves before he could hear some twigs breaking in the distance. Someone was there, or had just arrived but he instinctively yelled out in a calm but curious tone.
Atrum growled annoyed as he once again avoided returning to the guildhall, it was to distracting he needed to think. Clear his head a bit, train some to get his mind off that moment. Then he felt the magic power increase the giant blinked and turned towards the source. Felt like... fire magic, not particularly strong but noticeable in his own opinion. He was the strongest fire mage in Fiore anyways, probably a good idea to scope out the competition. The giant climbed to the roof tops and moved towards the source of the heat. When he found the person who was causing the heat he was...confused,and well a bit annoyed, having to switch from roofs to trees was a bit awkward. Who was this guy? Well he was definitely practicing luckily there was no garden here so he didn't have to worry about him wrecking it. He dropped from a tree to get a closer look, he wasn't training in stealth anyways. He thought just as his foot stepped on a branch drawing the other person's attention. He gave a glance down and looked up at the person demanding to know who was there.
"Greetings, I am Atrum Furea of Fairy Tail." Atrum said running his hair through his blonde hair as he stepped forwards. "I noticed you training from a ways away figured I would come to see who was increasing their magic power like that. Usually it's other Fairy Tail members, or apparently the new guys on the block Sabertooth. Curious as to who it was." He said with a bow and a miming of the removal of his hat. He needed to get it back from that thing but for now he could meet this person, and maybe he could enjoy a bit of a sparing match. "You look like you are in the middle of training. Perhaps you would not mind a sparing partner?" He asked in a polite tone with the soft smile ever present on his face.

Gray eyes bulged as a man of gigantic proportions stepped from behind the trees and introduced himself as Atrum of Fairy Tail. Sebastian was sure he would remember seeing someone that height and build at the guild hall, but he admittedly hadn’t really been to the Guild Hall as much as he should of in the past couple of years. He was always in to find a mission and then off to complete it, it was a bad habit and he knew he needed to create bonds but he had to support himself, and his taste for expensive jewelry. Who had time to relax at the guild hall? Not this guy.
"How interesting, I‘m Sebastian of Fairy Tail; though it‘s no surprise I haven‘t seen you before. I haven‘t been able to sit and relax in the guild hall for 10 years."
Bowing to the new comer, Sebastian lifted himself from his quick descent and then he was listening intently to the man who stated he had seen him training and decided to come and check out what was going on. Nodding to confirm most of what he was saying his calm attentive features formed into a light smile at the mention of sparring and Sebastian even let out a soft chuckle at the mention of the words. Was this guy a mind reader of some sort, because the young mage was honestly thinking the same thing, not that he would mention such a thing to the new comer.
"I wouldn‘t mind at all, I would actually encourage such an action. It might give me time to learn more about my fellow guild mate."
Sebastian said with a wink at the end of the sentence before smirking and moving back a few steps to make room for the man, while extending his arm to motion for him to join him in the ring. Similar to someone opening a door and gesturing for them to go first, and then he was cracking his knuckles and neck. It was a good thing he had limbered up before his training because he could only assume this guy used some form of magic that would keep him on his toes, maybe Titan Magic or something heavy hitting? Time would tell.
Sesbastion? Sebastain? Sebastian? Fiorian names were slightly hard to spell out correctly, he nodded and listened attentively as the fellow fairytail member responded to him. Ten years? Adding in the time shenanigans he must've joined around the same time Atrum started affiliating with the guild Offically he's only been a member for eight years, he however was in the front lines of the war effort even as a young man. Eh, if he hadn't been in the guild hall for ten years it'd explain why Atrum hadn't heard of him though he was certain that he would have seen him at some point at the very least. This Sebastian was taller than most, his facial features struck the giant as leaning towards feminine to him for some reason, and those piercings he had were actually quite distracting. Atrum didn't understand why someone would put metal in their own ears seemed counterproductive to him, targets for people to inflict pain in a fight. He guessed it was not his place to judge the personal preferences of others but still. He couldn't condone metal attachments to one's body in area's of increased heat or cold.
"Sounds like you are a long time member of the guild that has been so good to me. It is a pleasure to meet you in that case." He replied with a chuckle, getting a look around the area. "I shall do my best to test your limits." He promised, Sebastian had fire magic, he didn't know what kind of magic beyond that but what he did know was that fire magic was always dangerous. The Giant grinned showing off his fangs and cracking his own knuckles in response. He was going to enjoy this he could tell, he wanted to test this veteran's strength. The giant waited until Sebastian gave him the go ahead, a 'ready when you are' to start. "Geh heh." The chuckle came as Atrum took two extended steps forwards closing the distance between the two almost instantly, throwing a punch forwards aiming for the exact middle of his chest. He didn't need to use his magic just yet, let's see if Sebastian was good at just defending himself in general. "Let us have fun with this!"

Sebastian focused intently on the large frame of the man before him, watching his body movements to try and get an idea about the man. His size might have been in proportion to his strength, and speed but only time would tell against a member of Fairy Tail. They always had a way of surprising their opponents, even when facing another member of the guild making them one of the most unpredictable and frightening guilds in the young mans eyes. Perhaps he would surprise Atrum during their spar? Or maybe even Atrum would surprise him?
Suddenly the giant man was moving, a lot faster than Sebastian expected, and closed the distance between the two in a mere two steps. Swaying like an ice skater on their frigid domain and so Sebastian was gasping from surprise and suddenly watching the mans fist come straight toward his chest; a test strike. Using Atrums momentum against him, Sebastian side stepped the assault in the opposite direction of the punch, allowing him to spin and come to the side of the opponent taking a few playful steps backward before smirking. Almost like a Jeet Kun Do master.
"Let us!"
Sebastian retorted, while trying to find a way to come at the man before him his large size making attacking and defending difficult. Maybe he would attack his knees and shoulders, weaken him a bit before going in for a decisive strike? No that would require him to stay far to close to man who was a good 2 feet taller than him, it was like a tree fighting a plant, but he would find a way. Sebastian was tempted to use magic but he wouldn’t initiate such an action, rather waiting to see what his opponent could do in the sense of magic.
"You‘re surprisingly fast! It‘s both intriguing and exciting."
The man said with a thick Caribbean accent, his native tongue almost rolling free in his amusement before he decided to motion for the big man to come at him once more. Sebastian wouldn’t just attack him as of yet, he would allow Atrum to wear himself out before he hit him with a one two combo to end the match. Though he would have to be careful as he wasn’t knowledgable of anything Atrum could do as of yet besides punch and move at a fast pace.
Atrum observed Sebastion as he sidestepped the attack, he had nice reaction time decent speed if his instant reaction time was anything to go by. The giant's eyes followed the man and he listened to the steps he took as he back just out of his range. One, two, three. Three steps and he was out of Atrum's range. It took him about 1,2 second to get out of the giant's reach. In a fight that time was actually astronomical but travel time was completely difference than reaction time. If he had a lot of endurance this might take a while, however Atrum had more Endurance than anyone else he knew baring his own father and taiga. The giant grinned at his opponent, this guy seemed to be rather good, he had some experience. He was staying back and trying to make the giant tire himself out, good plan, larger guys tended to have to expend a lot more energy. Well Normally Atrum indeed did need a larger source of food than someone his size would normally need but he also could last a lot longer without. Sure he was strong, sure he was kinda quick but it was his endurance that allowed him to win the day.
"It is not as if I am particularly fast really, my legs are longer I can cover more ground with less moment than others makes me seem far faster than I actually am. It is a rather handy benefit of my size." The giant chuckled in response. "I would advise that you do not wait too long if you are not very good with endurance because I can literally do this all day." He finished bringing up his arms in a Muay Tai manner, Atrum's longer legs would allow him to get withing reach in two step if he slightly extended them. He closed the distance and instead of punching made a grab for Sebastian's right arm his own right hand flashing out shooting out from his body. A dodge was expected, a counter was what he wanted, he was trying to keep this fight limited to physical combat at the moment. His magic was hilariously destructive, they were too close to the rest of the city in his opinion to even consider it. Well he had, one or two spells that he could use without destroying the general area, but they weren't really attack spells. Well if he still couldn't reach him he might consider using the least destructive spells he had.

Smirking while the handsome man talked of his large size, Sebastian continued to dance about on his feet. Staying light like a feather and keeping his body flowing, always ready to dodge another attack; ready for any surprised that might come his way. So far the two men hadn’t used their magic to combat one another and went to show that Atrum was testing the waters just as much as Sebastian was, it gave him a good idea of the type of man he was up against. His claimed stamina would suggest he had a rather athletic background, maybe as a hunter or a warrior? Maybe that’s what he would ask next.
"So I‘m very curious. You speak of such high levels of claimed endurance, so what did you do before joining Fairy Tail?"
Sebastian was honestly curious, and was also trying to work up a tactic to counter the man and win the friendly spar they were having. He wasn’t a fan of losing, but it was always a learning experience, so he wouldn’t be too mad about what would happen if he did lose. Sebastian, after all, didn’t believe himself to be the strongest member of Fairy Tail and was pretty sure he would find someone stronger than himself eventually. Maybe today was that day? Though to be fair, he was sure the two of them were playing on equal grounds here.
With Atrum’s lightning fast grab for his right arm with his own, Sebastian grabbed the man’s extended arm and lifted himself into the air. Wrapping his legs around his opponents neck and attempting to use his 200 pounds of weight, and his own momentum, to bring the man down onto the ground. Sebastian was surprisingly enjoying this spar as he was more of a fan of magical combat, and it was giving him a chance to practice and refine his technique.
(magic incoming next post.) "Survived." Atrum responded simply as his opponent engaged a counter attack, a leg grapple? Not what he would've went with but he couldn't deny that normally it would've been one hundred percent effective. Atrum's left hand reached forward and clasped Sebastian's face, but that alone wasn't going to counteract his momentum, he needed a brace. Atrum's left foot slammed fowrands creating a strong stance as he lifted upwards. The giant blinked, Sebastian was heavier than he looked, that was interesting must be muscle mass the guy was probably a lot stronger than he looked as well.
"You are pretty good kid, that move is not something one just picks up by watching. I am a Member of the Furan war tribe, do not worry if you never heard of us, we sort of stopped being a major thing on the world stage several decades ago. To make a long story short and simple to understand, my homeland was an incredibly harsh place to live. Everyday was kill or be killed so if you could not keep up a pace all day you died." He said applying pressure on Sebastian's face, From this position unless his opponent could damage his arm or body enough to let his go there was little he could do other than attack his grip directly or struggle.
"So how about yourself? Mind if I ask where you got your skill? You are fairly practiced from what I can see, this should be an interesting sparring match. I hope to see something new from you."

Sebastian grunted as his face was clasped in the palm of the large man, and he didn’t release from his vice grip on Atrum’s arm. He could feel the warrior brace himself as to not fall from the movement, and Seb smirked underneath the hand of his opponent. Atrum’s story of his upbringing was interesting as he was intrigued by the warrior tribe past of his fellow guild mate. With more pressure being applied to his face, Sebastian grunted in slight pain while the other man asked of his own upbringing.
"Our origins aren‘t so different, except I wasn‘t in a warrior tribe. I was born into a poor family and had to fight and do terrible things to get where I am today in Fairy Tail, I trained everyday for 10 years to get this skilled. Oh and trust me, I have tons of tricks up my sleeve."
Moving quickly once again, Sebastian released his legs from around Atrums neck and swung his body to plant his feet on Atrums chest. Pushing off with all his strength, the dreaded wizard flew through the air in a backward somersault and slid a few feet in a crouched position. Now standing, he cracked his knuckles and smirked at the tall man before dusting off his pants and sweater before rotating each of his ankles quickly.
"Perhaps after this spar you could teach me a thing or two about your peoples combat techniques? Could be fun."
Atrum gave a grunt of annoyance as Sebastian bounced off his chest. The giant growled, and reached his hands out towards Sebastian, sparks snapping to life on his hands, they were flames, but unless you had seen Atrum's magic before it'd be a bit difficult to tell that he wasn't charging static electricity. what appeared to be electricity spreading from his hands and sparking forth flames that danced toward Sebastian as he somersaulted away from him. They sparked and darted to and fro zipping here and there in erratic patterns mimicking lighting like his magic is prone to doing.
With the sparks and flames blocking Atrum from view flames engulfed Atrum's left hand, and his body was propelled forwards at a frightening speed. The Furea's hand spell died out as here rushed through his dancing flame spell, his flame resistant and armored clothing making it basically a sparkler for him as he threw his left fist towards Sebastian's gut. Couldn't just use his magic however he wanted the explosions were basically the worst thing for the area. His magic couldn't control the normal flames that resulted from his magic as when they sprout naturally like that they are no longer magical fires after all.
"Geh heh Right that is enough kid gloves I think I shall get a bit more serious!" Atrum declared assuming that his first punch didn't hit and moved to take hold of Sebastian's head. The obvious would happen if he got hold of his target, drag the head down and slam his knee into the guys face, he wasn't throwing all of he strength behind it but it will still hurt. "Maybe I will show you something, you look like you can take it. I been essentally trained all my life after all passing some of it down might be good for me."

Before Sebastian had time to brace himself he was suddenly greeted by a stomach full of fist, successfully knocking the air out of him before his eyes caught sight of a hand reaching for his head. Reacting quickly, the mage rolled backward and sucked in lungs full of air in order to recompose himself and then looked down to his now burning shirt. Atrum was a fire mage? But hadn’t he hit him with lightning just now? Maybe it was some sort of mixed breed of fire, but it wouldn’t be enough to take on the master of the elements.
Ripping his shirt off quickly, Sebastian could still feel the heat of the flames lapping at his body even when the shirt was now laid in the grass and he smirked before looking over to Atrum. His own hand now encased in a orb of water, and spraying a thick stream onto the shirt effectively putting out the flames. The water orb then fell from his hand onto the ground and he leap backward, high into the air while clasping his hands together.
"If serious is what you want…"
Now spreading his hands widely, a large wave of water then emerged from Sebastian’s hands and moved toward Atrum. The attack wasn't really ‘damaging’ as much as it was to push him back and drench him in the liquid, should it have connected, he was merely testing the waters. (pun intended). It was more to see if Atrum could defend as well as he attacked.
Now was a good a time as any to test his new skills, here's hoping the destructive nature of his magic was toned down by this. While obscured by the wave he opened his hand, a blue card depicting Kotone Lazarus on one side as it spun in the air appeared, floating above his hand. Right, time to see if this magic would be as useful as he was lead to believe. He crushed the card in his hand and felt his magic change in response. The wall of water was approaching fast the giant grinned as a surge of unwarranted confidence filled him.
"Let us make this showy!" He declared pointing his index finger and middle finger at the water wall as it connected, a bolt of blue flame spearing through it stealing the heat from the area and freezing the wall instantly. The bolt of flame was entirely different than his normal spell, and as it speared it's way through the air at Sebastian, chilling the air around it as it flew at lighting speeds at him. A flame spell, that looked like a lighting spell, acting like an ice spell. This was cool, so this was the power he got from his bond with Kotone... A part of that made him a bit greedy, what else could he get simply by making friends with a person? what would they get? The possibilities.
"I could have sworn you said you were getting serious." Atrum began, smashing through the wave of ice with his fist as he felt the power of the bond leave him. What the? Did he not have a proper handle on this yet? "Show me what you got kid. Though if we are gonna go all out I would like to be a bit farther from the town so I can cut loose without worrying about causing damage to the area." He said giving him a grin. "So should we go all out?"

Watching his comrade crush a card in his hand before yelling about making the fight showy, he watched his wave of water freeze in place upon impact by a blue flame that shot out a bolt of freezing electricity? He didn’t have time to question the reality of this because the was a freezing bolt of lightning heading right toward him, and lifted his palms toward the sky. Suddenly two bursts of high powered fire were jumping toward the sky and pushing Sebastian down to the ground at rocket speeds. Barely dodging the bolt of lightning, one of his dreads was coated in a layer of ice and he scowled before watching Atrum break through the now frigid water wave.
"If we don‘t go all out, we‘ll never grow; as for finding a new place. Secret Art: Floating Island!"
Suddenly the ground began to shake and the large patch or clearing that they were battling in was suddenly being lifted into the air, at a moderate pace. Moving fast enough to throw a normal person off balance and pretty soon it was hovering in the sky, like a large rocky space ship and Sebastian was cracking his knuckles now. Now he and Atrum were in the sky and any destructive spells they released wouldn’t harm anything around them, game on.
"Now you don‘t need to worry about the destruction on your spells, let loose big man."
Sebastian said with a smirk as he jumped backward to give himself some space from Atrum and prepare an attack. The floating hunk of earth was as secure as they came and wouldn’t fall back until the mage commanded it to do so, plus it didn’t require constant attention so he should be able to focus on the task at hand. This Atrum was a powerful ally, perhaps he and Sebastian could form a sort of alliance within Fairy Tail when this was over.
Atrum clapped his hands together a dark chuckle escaping him his magic began crackling around him as Sebastian lifted them up into the air on some sort of flying arena. This was good, like this he could really let loose because the explosions were unlikely to damage the town now safely below them. Well relatively. He probably could destroy this block and scatter the rubble pretty far if he over did it, but that was unlikely. It was far more likely that the rock would just be incinerated entirely and he and Sebastian would fall to their deaths. Probably cause some damage when their bodies made impact.
"Alright then." Atrum said raising a hand a red card depicting Raven Flametongue on one end and crushing it activating the bond link. "I am going to go on a rampage! Geh heh!" At Atrum's declaration the sky grew dark and thunder cracked across the sky, clouds rolled in and lighting flashed. The Giant gave out a maniacal laugh as he raised a hand, thunder crack just above him. A obscenely large bolt of flame, sprung from the sky landing into his hand stopping there as he gripped it with is hand as it turned solid. He lifted the large metal girder sized lighting bolt shaped solid pillar of flame and filled it with the explosive Furea's wrath Spell. The enormous bolt of flame bent like a whip and snapped towards Sebastian.
The sky cracked as Atrum cast his Warpath spell another bolt of flame falling out of the sky and smashing into Atrum empowering his physical abilities. He'd have a hard time casting spells from this point on but he already knew that, it was the reason he called down the Trophaeum spell instead of a normal thunderous flame. He was going to have fun with this, as long as he kept his focus he should be able to keep using his spells. He was interested in how Sebastian dealt with overwhelming firepower, he clearly had multiple elements in his magic. Hopefully he wasn't the usual Jack of all trades master of none. when it came to his capabilities.

Suddenly Atrum’s eyes were filled with the passion and thrill of a good fight, and Sebastian smirked as his comrade readied himself for the upcoming calamity. With a raised hand to the heavens and the crumpling of a card, the skies filled with clouds and lightning and a bolt of fire jumped into the palm of his opponent. An impressive little stunt, but what was the end goal? It didn’t take long for him to figure it out though, as the stream of flaming lightning was suddenly lashed like that of a whip toward him; he had to react fast.
"Liquid Wall!"
Sebastian shouted and the air in front of him was instantly shifted into that of incredibly dense, extremely durable water. A giant wall of 30 feet and about a foot thick, which was strong enough to stop a majority of the attack but Atrum’s hit still caused the wall to all but explode upon impact. Sending a burst of water from the wall upon contact and then calling down another bolt of burning lightning. Well Sebastian wouldn’t be making another wall, this time he would increase his speed and dodge it while moving in close to deliver some powerful electrified hits.
"Electrify!"
Now arcs of lightning were jumping from Sebastian’s skin and eyes, and the young dreaded Caribbean man was moving faster than the naked eye could see. In about a second, the blur of movement had landed him behind Atrum and he was now doing a jumping spin kick. If he were to hit Atrum, a bolt of electricity would stun him and allow for a follow up attack.
