Eden is absolutely comfortable in any outfit. Her hair is about shoulder length red. It is straight, and she usually wears it down. Her eyes are violet, or also purple. She generally has a nervous or slight smile on her face. She prefers to wear skirts and girly things, but she is comfortable in jeans or more masculine clothing. She has a pocket watch she carries around with her. It is set one hour ahead of everything else, and she will never correct this. She has an alternate personality which dresses much more promiscuously. Not necessarily a different wardrobe, but with clothing tightened a bit, shortened a bit, and generally worn less modestly.
Eden has always been a nice girl. She has affection for others and likes to help people out. She has a good heart and can trust people too easily. She does not expect the worst from others, and instead remains positive and tries to make friends instead of enemies. She is a responsible worker and believes in her convictions. She does not like to be talked down to, but will rarely engage in an argument. She can be anxious when it comes to her personality shift. She is afraid of the difference and that she has no control over that. She worries Rosie will mess things up for her. When working she can become impatient and fixated. She wants to do her job right, and she wants to get it done. She isn’t interested in being swindled or taking things the leisure way while she works. She wants to get things done, and she doesn’t like distractions. She is stubborn about her opinions and decisions, and yet her overly curious nature can sometimes get her in trouble when she strays.
Rosie is friendly. In fact, she is overly friendly. To the point where she becomes needy. She wants to socialize. That does not mean she wants friends, necessarily. She wants interaction. She is a lecher, and she would be more than happy to give you personal attention and a lesson in what she likes. She is outgoing and likes people. It is not that she wishes them ill, but she can let her needs get the best of her. She is immature, selfish, needy, and pushy. She wants it, she wants it now, you need to give it to her, or else she won’t be happy. She doesn’t visibly pout, unless she thinks it will get her her way. Instead she simply moves on, or possibly manipulates. She is a good listener, and can be a good friend, especially if an agreement has been made. Not all of her relationships involve any sort of mature content, but many of them do. She does not do most of the travelling, as that comes to Edan being in control, and so she cannot maintain relationships, even if she would like to. She is a good leader when she actually has a task at hand. She does listen to people’s needs and advice, and tries to make the best plan and direct people. She is open minded, both to ideas and to people.
history
Lye and Kinnie Rickert had twins in their small mountain village. Eden and Rosie. They were all close to their neighbors and the two redheads were always quite popular with children their age and adults alike. Eden, while the quieter of the two, was liked for her level head and responsible nature. Attending the small school there until age twelve taught them strong community values and independent thought.
At twelve years old Eden, Rosie, and several other children around their age, made the trek down to a bigger city in Fiore to attend public school and see what that education was like. In this time Rosie began a romantic relationship with thirteen year old Nox. He was the only friend of the twins who insisted that they really did not look all that similar, while others claimed they were identical.
Through the years the Rickert’s welcomed three other children into their family. Holden in x909, Lessan in x911, and Briar in x914. While their parents were busy raising a family, Edan spent time helping merchants down in the city when she had enough time. She even organized a delivery from the village to the city to sell wares. Rosie, on the other hand, became closer with her boyfriend Nox. Edan never seemed interested in boys, even by the age of fifteen, but Rosie was smitten with Nox, and actually quite flirtatious even with other boys. It caused problems, but Rosie and Nox stayed together.
Trips to the nearest city were still regular. A group of students mentioned that they would be going on an adventure, and adventurous Rosie easily convinced her curious twin to go along. Nox was busy with other things, and stayed back in town. The adventure quickly moved to a cave and increasingly spooky settings. When bones lay scattered around the area most of the group turned tail to head home. Rosie had to know. She had no magical abilities, but Edan had been working on hers. Rosie expressed a desire to see if there was magic hidden, and when they heard the faint whispers of the wind from inside the cave, neither could resist investigating.
What happened after is not general a topic of discussion for Eden. She knows they went deeper into the cave, and Rosie was killed. There was blood, and her body disappeared. The pain was horrible, both physically and emotionally. Edan ran, barely making it out of the cave before she collapsed. When she woke up she was clean, in bed with Nox. Both of them were confused, but for very different reasons. Nox expressed that he had been with Rosie the night before, but Edan said that was impossible, and in her breakdown she told him that Rosie had died. In was a dark time, but the pair investigated the cave, finding nothing of use, before returning to their village.
In the next months Eden found herself blacking out in extreme distress. She usually disappeared during this, but several times Nox claimed to have seen Rosie around. Soon after that Rosie actually had a lengthy conversation with a very confused and heartbroken Nox.
“But… you… died. Am I seeing things?”
“I died? Oh! Man… I guess that did happen… sort of. I mean, I got hurt. But I can’t be dead, can I? I’m right here.”
When Eden realized that her twin sister was periodically taking over her body, she was a mixture of horrified and relieved. It answered a lot of questions, and it meant that her sister was alive… sort of. Things did have a habit of getting very complicated, and sharing Edan’s body was ever awkward. Edan got a job working for a travelling merchant as his security, and hit the road. She tries to keep Rosie out of trouble, but that can be a handful.
Primary Magic
Name: Special Snowflake Description: This is an Enchantment based magic. It is ice based. The magic can leave a feeling of cold on those who have been hit with it, and the caster’s eyes seem to frost over, becoming increasingly pale until they are pure white at higher uses of the magic. While this magic is enchanting, it is only as powerful as the person it is cast on. These spells cannot possess, but if the manipulation is strong enough, that is unnecessary. Illusions, feelings, and general compulsions are the flavor of this magic. The only real feeling from this magic is its cold, a tell-tale sign. Although this is not a possession magic, the influence it can have over other people and animals is profound. The magic can be used to grant a pleasant feeling, making people complacent. Perhaps a guard dog is extra comfortable and doesn’t want to get up and check on a suspicious noise. Although not only feelings of cold can be given, cold is common enough to be a giveaway. The caster becomes accustomed to cold, but not immune to it. The caster’s body grows cold with the use of this magic, and too much power, or use for too long, can actually start to give frostbite. This magic, while making people feel a certain way, does not hurt them. The compulsion to hit an ally, which may cause a fight, is possible, but flat out forcing their hand is impossible. It is a suggestion, but not control. This magic takes a clever mind and good timing to work at its fullest potential.
