Neala smiled as she watched the town from one of the scarce fields that populated the area, her parasol shading her as she waited for her guest. It was quite the lovely day the sun was shining down with a fierce bearing, and the flowers that grew here gave the place such a wonderful scent. She however was here for more than just a picnic on a nice day. Here little brother had finally returned, after so long, and from the dead no less! Today was a good day because she would get to see her little brother again, She couldn't wait. He would show up at any time now she just knew it. Neala spun her parasol in her hand as she stared over towards the town. it was a nice town in her opinion. So fun to be in, and the local guild wasn't much of a antagonistic presence for her so it was rather easy for her to spend time there.
"Little brother I certainly hope you will show up soon." She sighed wistfully, the waiting was the worst part. When nothing happened it was easy to lose yourself in the moment. She sighed and reached up to her parasol and pulled a branch out of it. It was made much like a normal parasol with a few important modifications she kept a bunch of branches from her tree in it. and there was a lacrima in it but that wasn't an important detail. She planted the branch into the ground and breathed out slowly as her sense became one with the plants around her. That was better, she was now keenly aware of the area around her the buzzing insects. The rodents under the ground. It wouldn't be long, she'd know when the her lovable little moron of a brother finally showed up. "And then we can catch up."
"This is a terrible idea." Atrum said as he marched towards the spot where he was supposed to meet his older sister. Neala 'Nitia' Furea, the eldest child of the Furea family, she was.... intense to say the least. He loved his sister dearly but she showed her affections in often uncomfortable ways. Still she was definitely a pleasure to have around especially in a fight, of the three children of their family, she was definitely the best. How long had it been since he last saw her? more than four years...seven? it was definitely a while, hells this meeting wasn't going to go well was it? He stared up ahead putting his hand over his eyes to block the sun as he walked, there she was on the hill in a field of flowers, she had good choice in meeting places still.
"Sis! It has been far too long, how have you been?" he asked waving a hand at her and giving her a soft and pleasant smile. "You disappeared when we came to Fiore I had not been able to get in contact with you for a long time after that." He tried to stay relaxed, Neala wasn't fully human, sure part Dryad but she acted like a predator. She watched your every move, every muscle twitch. She could smell your fear, he had no doubt in his mind that if he showed a single bit of weakness she would end him on the spot. Well maybe not kill him, again she's intense. A simple hug could be more like a sudden encounter with an hungry and angry Boa constrictor. A show of affections and bodily harm are kinda of the same thing to her. "Have you Seen Ater?"
(it is annoying to type like Atrum talks >.> Oh I'm gonna put () around when Neala talks their native language and I dun wanna put weird gibberish ^^)
"Shao! You got taller!" Neala shouted as he stepped into her home field bouncing to her feet and waving him over. he was taller his got so big, he must be eating right. She walked up to her little brother and gave him a tight hug before breaking off and smacking his arm with her parasol. "You are too tall! Stop growing and let Ater and I catch up!" She teased poking his head with the end of her parasol closing it in the same move. "And to answer your question, I have been fine. and do we have to talk in this language? Yorali Sei gornmutil?" She pleaded preferring to talk in their normal language.
"(Ater? Yeah He's been 'round His shop is pretty successful Y'know? But he spends all his time workin' or travelin' I haven't been able to talk to him at all.)" She sighed shrugging at her little brother. "(Oi, why don't you use our family names anyways? You wanna keep it a secret from the locals? Nyehehehe How mean don't ya trust the people here? You were the first one to leap at joining up with them after all.)" She gave him another smack. "(Should we get straight to the traditional greeting or do ya wanna gossip like girls a bit more first?)" She said giving him a confident smile. It had been at least four years seems like now is a good time to bring back tradition.
Last Edit: Sept 12, 2015 2:05:47 GMT by Neala Furea
(I want to say that is brilliant, in some round about way of boosting my own ego, but really I'm just glad that I have someone to actualy include in the head canon I have in the north. Atrum's foreignness is no longer "My home is like this")
"Of course I got taller, I'm just surprised that you are still only around six feet tall when did you stop growing?" He snarked back at his big sister patting her on the head. He smirked when she complained about talking the Fiorian language, it was a tad annoying talking the way he did. "(It's fine Sis, took me a while just to figure out how to read the language talking can get pretty annoying, don't even get me started on if I don't have a one to one translation for a word. And forget about our songs they all sound so awkward in Fiorian, or whatever the language is called i never really paid attention.)" Well Hells she got him complaining. "(I'm not using our family names because I have reason to think it might be a bad idea. At least right now, I have a lead that suggests that maybe some others of our people might've made it out of Furan. I don't know the situation in full though so better safe than sorry, our clans are only loyal to our own family members anyways. Can't be unprepared for an attack if for some reason they want us gone. Just a healthy dose of paranoia.)" He Finished before crossing his arms.
"(Ahh good, he's not still being a mad scientist is he? He tried to get me to deliver him monsters weird the guy seems pretty distant for some reason." He shook his head, Ater at one point said that the North lands was their birthright. 'And he'd be damned if unholy abominations would keep it from us', he and Atrum hadn't really talked about it since then but the Giant doubted that his older brother had given up. "(Eh? Tradition? I would prefer to gossip honestly I literally missed out on four years of training due to some kind of weird time jump, but I guess that I'm curious to how much you have improved, since we last done this. Sure let's go all out then.)" Atrum said dropping his pack the wolf popping out and dragging the back out of range. He cracked his knuckles and grinned well he needed to be careful. This was going to suck, Neala was a northerner she kept up with her training and she didn't sleep last he checked. Hopefully she wouldn't just destroy him immediately.
"(I think the language is interesting and beautiful, I just totally prefer the one I grew up with.)" Neala replied flippantly ignoring Atrum's height directed snark. "(You're so paranoid lil' bro! Ooooh maybe we're being watched right now~! Nyehehehe!)" The Nymph gave her little brother a pat on the should as she mocked him. "(Well I guess I could humor you, not like I've been goin' around using our true names either.)" She began rubbing her hand on her chin in a over exaggerated manner. She kinda liked listening to atrum rant him getting angry about something was way too common. He got angry just like their mother, a dramatic thing once you noticed how it worked but kinda sorta completely easy to miss if you didn't. Oh wow he was still talking, he really liked to talk once he started didn't he? Could have sworn he was a lot quieter before the move, the guild must've done him some good then.
"(Time jump? That's hard to believe, wait actually you do look like you're too young, you should be hittin' about twenty five right about now so... Oh wow, you got four years just stolen from you? oh Lil' bro you poor sucker!" Neala said with a mixture of earnest empathy and teasing prodding. "(There's nothin' we can do about it now anyways so we might as well just get straight to the tradition. Hey don't be so paranoid who'd wanna watch us? Our clan is dead to the rest of the world y'know? And anyone who would care is either dead or thinks we are as well, besiiiides, even if that wasn't true not like they'd get anything by coming here anyways. So stop stallin' and let's get to fightin')" She said backing up and putting her umbrella into the ground.
"(Since you're missin' about four years of training and experience I'll avoid using my weapons and my major spells, You on the other hand better not hold back. Or you're gonna get whupped by big Sis' Neala understand~?)"
The giant walked back and forth as Neala talked staring at Neala a sense of unease in his head, his brain's warning system was going off with all the force of a volcanic eruption and he wasn't sure why. Was the gap between him and his older sister really that large? That was, a sobering thought. still it wasn't like he could back out, this was tradition for multiple reasons, it wasn't something they did just because they always did it. It was a great way of testing combat ability, and seeing where two members of the Northlands stood. Atrum observed his elder sister while she mocked him, she was almost so infuriating that it looped back into entertaining and becoming fuel for his competitive drive. She really liked to mock people didn't she? Hells might as well get this over with, there were a few things he could reply to but he'd rather just get this fight started. Atrum stretched out his arms, this time trying to get a feel for Neala's combat aura, he felt nothing, absolutely nothing. Strange and disconcerting to say the least, however that actually kind of made him more excited for the upcoming fight. He was crazy, a Northerner to his very core. It was time to fight. Time to live!
"(Oh I understand alright prepare yourself, let up even and inch and I'll drag out a whole mile!)" He growled drawing back a fist while she threatened to 'whup him'. Atrum had backed off a bit earlier he'd need to close the distance now, his muscles flexed as he prepared a punch keeping his eyes open. multipunch he would strike the same place multiple times to nail a huge weak point into his target. The damage would multiply with each hit. "(BATTLE START, TIME TO RAMPAGE!)" He shouted moving forwards to throw a punch forwards Neala was fast, and, strong, and smart. He also had these traits, he had more endurance than her and he was naturally stronger as well, his body type made that a irrevocable fact in the past, but now. Four years, for her strength adn endurance to grow, four years of battle to ad to her already far superior pool of experience. Four gods damned years. "(I'M GONNA BREAK SOMETHING!" he growled throwing the punch now that he was in a proper range. He was going to enjoy this.
Neala smiled as Atrum started the battle, okay this should be fun. Atrum's advantages? Dunno been too long since she had seen him last, for all she knew he had none. Better assume that he's still stronger than normal and had more endurance than an average combatant. His was approaching pretty fast, then again it was a small distance. She threw her arm up and caught Atrum's fist with two fingers before he could get any momentum or strength into his arm. Pushing it back so he couldn't get enough strength to throw a punch. Her eyes scanned his body watching as the surprised hit him, where was the opening in his form? There, he form left an opening near the lower part of his face. Neala grinned and jammed her other hand into her brothers mouth grabbing onto one of his canines. Then she twisted, Atrum was tough so fifteen degrees wasn't enough, maybe thirty, no forty five degrees.
"(I think you just might.)" Neala responded grinning, Atrum was good at ignoring pain right? Well as good as he might be turning a person's tooth it those nerves directly, incredible pain and he probably was used to having his teeth messed with considering how sharp they were. She almost didn't notice that his fangs had cut her fingers, well he made her bleed better return the favor. She drew back the hand holding back her little brothers fist, and struck out with her nails at his forehead cutting into the skin. He'd start bleeding, and bleed a lot a whole lot, not particularly damaging but getting that blood in your eyes while fighting did well to drive doubt into a fighter. Atrum was pretty fast with his counter attacks though she should be ready for his next move, she probably really ticked him off with this opening move. This was going to be fun wasn't it?
"(Wait, what?)" Atrum blinked as his fist was stopped, she just stopped all his forwards momentum with two fingers, hells that was infuriating she was- oh shit. Atrum tried to back off as Neala grabbed him by one of his fangs and- "GYAAAAAAAAGH!" Atrum's roar of protest was not expected by the giant that hurt, the pain came too suddenly to ignore it was fresh and new, something he had never dealt with before and oh dear gods did it hurt! then she cut into his head and Atrum blinked as blood flowed down his face. Oh so that was her game. Well then he better step things up a bit. A bolt of flame speared form the sky and lit him aflame cauterizing the wound on his forehead instantly as his body was empowered. She was always faster than he was, now he had a boost of speed an power to be reckoned with.
"(Burn)" He growled speeding around behind Neala and attempting to throw a devastating kick into her side. A person's legs was three to four times more powerful than one's arm. Atrum was already incredibly strong, and this blow would be devastating. But he wasn't about to stop to let her grapple him. He snapped his fingers and bolt of flame spearing down to hit Neala if she tried to dodge or stuck around for the kick. He was going to be active for this one giving her an inch and she'd smash him down into the ground. He needed to find a way to make her give an inch. He wanted that mile. Atrum's ears picked up the whine of the little one in his pack as she rose from her slumber. Hell he forgot about her. He couldn't lose focus but he couldn't allow her to get hurt either. This fight just got harder.
"(Ohh you sound so cute when you scream like that!)" Neala said as Atrum immediately went for a full magical offensive Oh he was trying to kick her, well the leg was far stronger than the arm and it was hard to stop a kick from building momentum. Neala smirked and hopped up onto his leg oh wow his flames were rather hotter than she remembered, she hopped off just as a bolt of flame speared from the air and impacted just behind her throwing her forwards and forcing her to bounce off her hands to her feet. He could fire that spell from the sky? Wow he really did improve! She wiped a tear from her eye, her little brother was growing up! Ah! She shouldn't be getting caught up in the moment she had to kick his ass!
Neala's flipped her way at her little brother mostly because it left her open but mostly because she needed to build up speed for this. Neala flipped herself onto Atrum's shoulders dropping to her knees so her thighs clamped down on either side of his head. "(This might hurt a bit!)" She said trying her best to ignore the burns growing on her legs as she twisted her body and leaned back throwing her hand up to catch herself as she forced her little brother the fall backwards. She twisted her body jerking his head to one side as she flipped all the way over tossing him over her and into the ground. "(Ow ow ow, I shouldn't have given you that handicap now I'm gonna end up all burned and crap!)" She complained patting gingerly at her burned thighs. "(Try not to snap you own neck lil' bro I wanna beat on ya some more!)"
Atrum blinked as his sister flipped away form him then suddenly back at him ctaching him off guard with her sheer speed. Hells she knew his reaction time was great so she was just mocking him with how far he had fallen behind wasn't she? Then she leaned back pulling Atrum with her he strained to keep upright but he didn't have enough strength to resist. He felt his body bend backwards then she lifted him into the air with her legs twisting his neck as it strained to keep his body together. Hells this was painful, she wasn't kidding about it hurting. He was tossed into the air and Atrum felt a strange sensation of calm wash over him. He was still angry, in pain, but he was also calm as well, more confident. he knew exactly how to manipulate his center of balance. Atrum shifted his weight so his body righted itself mid air and his feet slammed into the ground leaving him and at crouched position. then the calm left him.
Atrum's didn't waste time, yeah that weird moment of balance filled clarity was weird but he needed to stay on the attack. Atrum called down another Thunderous flame as he rushed Neala it exploding down and burying itself into the ground becoming solid on impact. He snatched it out of the air and filling it with a more explosive spell tossing it behind Neala to cut off her escape route. he she retreated backwards she'd hit a Furea's wrath. Atrum knew what she was going to do if he attacked her recklessly. he breathed out his sphere of control became visible to him. It was a mostly defensive tactic to use this, instead he was going to make it a defensive supplement to his assault. He mentally shrank the circle until it was a thin layer on him as he raised an open palm.
Atrum's awareness extended in response to his defensive area shrinking to allow him to react properly. This way he should be able to dodge her attacks at the last possible second while keeping up his attack. He had to do three things in the next few precious seconds. Read Neala's Flow, combine her movements with his own, and overpower her by anticipating her moves and use her flow against her before she even thinks of her- Oh shit. She's a northerner she can fight instinctively this might be a bit harder than he thought. Oh well no time like the present to test new theories. Atrum threw out three open palm punches in rapid succession the first aimed at her breast the second at her closer arm the one she would logically defend with the third at her face. Switching up how he attacked and reacted should throw her off.
Neala stared as Atrum righted himself in the air and landed with scary ease. She shivered, that was cool, she was so glad he had improved. Atrum called down another of his thunderous flamed and Neala flipped backwards to avoid the attack, she was almost caught when he tossed the whip behind her and she almost tripped up the explosives. her flip stopped just barely at the boundary and threw her weight forwards leaving landing on her feet just a few feet away from the dangerous exploding whip. She hadn't expected Atrum to fill that spell with another she had almost missed it, she might've not noticed if he hadn't tossed it behind her rather than at her. She dropped into a defensive stance as Atrum seemed to change tactics. What was he up to? She stared at him trying to figure out his game, well that was an open palm so he was really trying to win. That was goo awesome she couldn't wait for him to try something new. She watched as the Giant became more focused, her little brother wasn't as strong as she was, but damn if he wasn't trying to make up for it.
Atrum's sudden attack was fierce and calculated, she turned to the side, dodging the first attack, then swept her torso lower under his next blow. next she began raising her body back up almost walking right into his last blow, she didn't see that one coming but thank the gods she was faster than him he might get some clean blows on her if he kept this up. She pivoted to the blow went past her head and crouched slight through her right arm out to smack into Atrum's gut with an open palm punch. Atrum had for a second outsmarted her, she wasn't even sure if he meant to but still he almost got her, this was getting fun. She loved being surprised by her opponents, she hadn't sparred with another war tribe member in so long. She was only disappointed that the gap between their strength was so large, this fight could've been glorious. Instead it's mostly surprising, not that she was complaining, she was having fun with this. She hadn't seen Atrum in far too long, this reunion was fun at the very least. She should look for Ater next, see if he neglected his training in favor of his experiments.
Atrum growled as Neala dodged his attacks and slammed her fist into his gut. He flinched fora second before he struck back increasing the speed of his attacks changing from open palm strikes to normal punches to knuckles blows interchangeably, finding that Neala was easily redirecting or outright blocking every attack he threw at her. He growled and throw a mars crash punch forwards, a blow that she easily redirected with her arm, hells it looked like she remembered exactly how the spell worked. True an impact was what set off the explosion but an impact was all that was needed. he drew himself back and brought a knee up attempting to knee her in the gut. His reaction time must not have been as good as he thought because she simply hopped up on his knee using it as a springboard to flip herself backwards away from him. and clear over the trap whip he set earlier.
"(Blazing hells!)" Atrum growled creating a Thundreous flame in his hand and using it as a whip, he filled it with another Furea's wrath this time using it it to pick up his other whip and take it in his other hand. "(You who are mindless!)" He began twirling the whips as he focused his magic power. "(Obey your oath of blood, come forth from the land of Abbadon!)" He said attempting to snag Neala with the whips, hells she was so agile, but she wasn't perfect she'd slip up soon, there! The giant snatched Neal's ankle as she slowed down and caught an arm with the other one. "(Fires of the Ancient Hells and Heaven's, TURN YOU TO ASH!)" He shouted flowing his magic power through the whips draining as much as he could to take Neala down in a shower of explosive flames. He wanted to WIN. The felt the magical power peak and the explosion start. come on let this do it!
Atrum started attacking again she was impressed, oh sure she was more or less redirecting and occasionally using her palms to block his blows. She stared watching her little brother move like he was in a fight for his life while in slow motion, he was just too slow, he had strength but right now she could just get her hands in the way of his attacks before the built up any strength. She could easily render his attacks soft as a pillow, it was kind of sad. She could tell he was getting frustrated when he tried to hit him with Mars crash and she simply knocked it away leaving it mostly useless. He was just getting angrier and then he lifted his knee to try and catch her off guard. She planted her foot on his ankle and hopped onto his knee lowering herself down and retreating with a flying leap over his trap whip. She raised a hand motioned for him to come and get some with her hand, he was losing his temper. Did he still get more dangerous the angrier he got it would be interesting to see what he did next-
D-did he just summon a whip of flame to grab his other whip in order to use it as well? Neala blinked as he began chanting and her eyes widened, he really wanted to win he hated incantations. Then the onslaught came, the whips snapped at her repeatedly trying to snag her. She twirled repeatedly pivoting and trying to avoid jumping around as tha would only give him a bigger target. She was actually being pressed, maybe she should start taking this serious-! Neala gasped as she felt her ankle burn, well shit she just walked into that one. She moved her left hand to grab at the whip and felt the second whip catch it. Okay she just asked for that one that was freaking amateur. That was when the flames came, well she fucked up time to take things seriously. Her magic surged and Bark covered her skin bursting into flames as Atrum's spells detonated all around her. She ran through the fire the bark falling off as she burst through the flames and she clapped her hands together.
"(You forced me to use my magic congratulations!)" She said earnestly applauding him as it looked like his rage peaked.
"(That's NOT Making me feel good.)" He growled at her causing her to smile. Then Neala jumped up a large log of wood bursting fro the ground and propelling her at Atrum faster than he could dodge. The giant instead chose to block bringing up his arms. Neala grabbed his right one, her hands moving faster than most people could see striking at the pressure points in is arm before simply yanking his arm out of the socket Atrum roared in anger bolts of flames striking out of the sky towards her forcing her to back off. What? Fire hurt, a lot she didn't want to get hit by it. She still got burned by his earlier attack.
"(Did I tick you off?)" She asked as the giant used her backing off to force his arm back into it's socket. "(You're still tough that's good let's finish this off okay?)" She asked getting a disapproving grunt from her little brother. "(Well I guess that's to much to ask for, oh well. Flower Drive!)" She shouted drawing strength from the flowers and small plants in the area. She breathed out her muscles tensing for a few brief moments. Whelp time to break his will. It was the only way to win against him. Neala moved forwards watching her little brother react even slower as she calmly walked around him, well walk is the wrong word she was at a dead sprint she just felt like she had enough time to walk there. She took up Atrum's arms from behind and lifted her foot up and drove it into his back. "(Right ya give up?)" She asked getting nothing but unintelligible angry noises from him. "(You okay?)"
Atrum breath was ragged as he felt his chest pressed forwards by the foot on his back. He couldn't think, too angry, literally everything about this was ticking him off. Emotion was a power source as well. Atrum was always a bit hot headed, a bit rash, it came with the territory. This was too much to handle with a cool head, he couldn't take it anymore. Atrum growled as flames began to gather around him as his magic started to rise. Of course Neala noticed and Wood supplemented her iron grip locking him in place with hardening wood wrapping over him as if to turn him into a living statue. Atrum was always getting ticked off, but this was just embarrassing. He wasn't going to sit back and let this happen. He had one last trick of his sleeve. A spell she hadn't seen yet, but he'd have to get creative with it's use. Atrum always believed that his anger was his best source of power to use and direct it instead of letting it rule him was the only way to fight using it....but just this once. Maybe he could let it go.
"(Oh obscure flames of the universe I am calling you.)" He stared as low as he could, Neala knew of the incantations as well she knew more than he did if only because she had more time to learn. She'd realize he was trying something particularly dangerous with this one.
"(Oh no you don't!)" He heard Neala growled before feeling her grip on presence behind him disappear for a breif moment. did she run? No, no way she did then what was she- Atrum found his thoughts interrupted by Neala clasping her hand on the back of his neck gripping him tightly and ripping him out of the wood and chucking him into the air. Atrum felt his skin bruise from her touch and realzed he was in a bad spot.
"(Awaken divine flames, awaken corrupt flames, this is the time to burn.)" He continued focusing the magic he had in his body as he felt himself start to fall. He righted himself in the air and looked down towards the ground...Where was Neala? She should've been right there possibly launching something at him. Oh well no time to dwell he needed to continue the incantation. "(Flames of the universe bend to the life mother's will. Burn and let your power rage through me. I invoke, Summus foirfeacht-GUAAH!)." Atrum's back exploded in fire and pain and his descent back towards the earth hit terminal velocity at a breakneck pace. Neala had launched herself in the air and delivered a powerful blow to his back to stop him from finishing the spell. She might've broken his back. Atrum slammed into the earth as his hold on the spell vanished, he wasn't paralyzed on the bright side. He stood up and saw Neala's foot coming for his very soul and took it right in the chin his jaw clicking as his teeth snapped against each other and he was thrown once again across the battle field. "Geh heh." He groaned as he stood up. that was....painful. "(Hellfire Barrage!)" He shouted rushing to his feet and throwing his arms out orbs of thunderous flame appearing all over his body.
"(Hellfire what now?)" Neala asked as the orbs came in larger numbers than he had ever called them before. The orbs surrounded both of the fighters taking up a large amount of space over the battle feild the temperature in the area rising due to the sheer amount of fire located nearby. Neala looked about as she realized what kind of spell the Hellfire barrage was and gave her little brother a sheepish grin. "(You clever idiot)" she said as the bolts of flames moved in.
The zipped right past Neala impacting on Atrum's body repeatedly. imbuing him with the explosive magical energies they held, again and again they smashed into him hells he wished he was immune to the detrimental effects of his own magic.
"(I can't beat you normally, I'm a terrible mage in comparison to you, and you got more than four years of my equivalent training to back you up physically. So guess an insane plan with little chance of success means I've got nothing to lose!)" He laughed aloud activating his Warpath spell a bolt of flame spearing from the sky and impacting him as the last of the orbs flew into him. "(My blood's on fire sis, I think I can win this one! Gahahaha!" The giant said laughing maniacally before the last of the rational thoughts left his head and he charged his big sister. It had been a rather long time since he last felt this angry.
(I think I finaly went crazy with this one sorry!)
"(Nope! Nope! Nope! Nope! NOPE!)" Neal shouted slamming her hands into the ground forcing wood pillars out of the ground at her little borther charged at her STRAIGHT THROUGH HER ENHANCED WOOD. By the gods what the hell did he do? She knew that incantations boosted a spells power, their mother taught them that much, but did he just use his most powerful attack spell to boost his physical parameters? She blinked as the event replayed in his mind. No that other spell enhanced his physical attributes the previous was only to galvanize his spell and his bodies reaction to it, and as a result he gave in to his inner beserker. Of course there was only one explanation for why he came up with such a batshit insane plan, only one explanation for this suddenly burst of risk/reward brilliance that would surly go unrecognized. HE LOST HIS FUCKING MIND! Neala was in a panic, sure she was stronger and faster than he could just easily make up for, but you didn't see her little brother during the wars. You didn't see what he did when he first awoke to his magic and almost killed himself fighting a clearly superior enemy. Atrum was quiet, he was polite(For the most part), he was loyal and he was proud, but he was also a rage fueld monster. It was easy to forget what with his love of flowers and protecting the weak, and how he loved to make people happy.
Now listening to her little brother howling like some sort of beast, she was reminded of the old days. She was reminded of her parents, she was reminded of the fun she had beating Atrum into the dirt. That's right he was crazy, he was powerful, tough and he had to battle advantage of being a man, but she had experience and training that outmatched his by years. It was easy to forget that the difference in years between their training wasn't four years it was more like ten now. She kept retreating the grin on her face growing wild as she back stepped away from her brother good gods he was angry. How long had he built this up? Surely he must've vented his anger in whatever event sent him through time? Well apparently he had done nothing but get even angrier over time. With no way to vent his rage in this country he had grown so fond he probably just sealed it away, well that was one more adverse affect Fiore had on him. Good the harder life was for him here the more likely he was to improve.
"(You can be pretty terrifyin when ya want to be. But let me remind you why I've always been the best fighter in our family!)" She shouted raising a hand wood spears launching from the ground at Atrum's chest. He smashed through them of course she knew he would, she had flower drive active however and she was still faster than this new threshold he had reached. Neala's feet propelled her under Atrum's charge just barely squeezing under him and grabbing his leg. She focused and brought her furan bark skin to bear his fire had gotten even hotter. And he said he wasn't a good mage! Neala smashed her fingers into the pressure points on hi lower leg, and paid special attention to the tendon muscle there before spinning he body around to get a good grip on his leg. Of course Atrum turned to strike her and got in a pretty good blow to her head, but she dislocated his leg anyways. Atrum fell to the ground and she rolled back grinning. Atrum stood up and Nela went into full destroyer mode. He lifted his arm up, right hand moving forwards as if aiming. right leg dislocated weight on left leg. Stance; weak. He threw the punch forwards. Fast, not fast enough, she ducked to the side and struck his arm along the proper points before yanking it out of it's socket eliciting a scream from the target.
She used the distraction to get closer, pressure points on the chest and stomach protected by thick clothing skin and muscles deep penetration needed. thing vines grew on her fingers and she attacked where she needed to through his shirt before retreating as she heard her target fix her leg, just narrowly missing an knee attack that would surely broken some bones. She watched as her target snapped his arm back into place and roared at her in defiance. Everything was going as planned, target's movement crippled even if it didn't now it yet. Time to move in for the kill. She let the target rush her and put her hand out taking a fist to her face even through the bark it hurt, pain didn't matter. She gripped the target's throat and gave it a smile she imagined would've been pleasant if the armor like bark didn't obscure it. The Target seemed to be shrugging off the effects of the muscle swelling, it's arms and legs were still going where it wanted. Impressive. She took the blows and tightened her grip. Target has increased lung capacity, increased durability and strength and reduced planning ability. She had won this- Atrum's left fist smashed her out of her battle thought the blow had gotten stronger. Choking Atrum, instead of getting weaker his struggles grew entirely more powerful as he got closer to unconsciousness, his bodies limiters turning off- OH SHIT! Neala felt another blow smash into her head this time she let go of Atrum's neck and turned with the attack to minize the damage. Shit how could she forget that? Neala let the bark fall off of her and clapped Atrum's ears, ruptured ear drums he'd heal later but for now, no balance.
She saw her brother wobble, last chance to end this cleanly otherwise his blows were really going to start hurting soon. He really was stronger than she was, at least physically. He was also tougher than her, being a girl in a warfare based culture was difficult, you weren't as suited for it as your peers, but you could make up for that by fighting smarter, using tactics, targeting weak points. Fighting dirty, though there isn't anything stopping a man from doing that either. Which left realistically only a single option to use in the heat of battle to make a female combatant of the war tribe a force to be reckoned with; the maternal drive. Drive a mother into a corner and she is more dangerous than ay man, she didn't have that for she she'd have to stick to just being better than Atrum HA!
Neala wrapped her hand around Atrum's head and just slammed her knee into his skull, repeatedly. Again and again and again, he was almost down. His eyes flickering in and out of focus, just as she was started to lose breath from exertion, damn asshole was tough, but finally! Yes! the fire went out! He was down thank the gods hopefully she hadn't permanently damaged him. "(You stubborn asshole.)"
