Drago's appearance can only be summarized with the word "Beautiful". While many may find this trait something to be jealous of, the man views it as a curse himself. Being often confused at first sight as a woman tends to cause him to be irritated, and it does happen. As such the man tends to have a sour disposition towards other people. Being formerly of the Magic Council he is in shape, and well defined. Instead of muscle bulk he has muscle density fit for someone who is actively athletic rather than a muscle builder.
Drago has a pale complexion, and waist long black hair. While his hair adds to the gender confusion his physical form receives he refuses to cut it, and instead maintains its health as if it was his religion. His primary style of wearing his hair is pulled back into a ponytail. His eyes are a dark and rusty near blood red, he assumes this genetic trait is from whomever was his father as his mother had blue eyes. Unlike a lot of human beings he's interacted with, he's got a full set of teeth however with partially elongated Canines.
He always smells like a field of flowers, he's unsure why, or how, its just thats what he smells like.
personality
Positive Traits Negative Traits. Honest. Untrusting. Reliable. Cynical. Caring. Cold. Charismatic Secretive. Good Natured. Afraid of Attachments.
Drago has a trust problem. This is simple to explain and simple to see. While he may be a good hearted honest guy, he doesn't like forming attachments to anyone, and doesn't enjoy the company of strangers. Assuming you irritate him enough to be labeled "an Irritation" rather than "A Person i want away from me", its basically like having a very irritated friend who is willing to help you out. He's not the lone wolf type per say, but he isn't afraid of working alone, but prefers working with a group, no matter how anti-social he is.
Other than the prolonged "Irritation" that he suffers from day to day, he also has a minor "Self Esteem" problem. Dressing in fancy mens clothes, and heavier wear. To distinguish his female appearance with a male wardrobe in hopes that people would stop making that mistake. This ranges from the tone in his voice to his interactions with others. He tries to be cold and gruff, trying to push people away from him with small amounts of cruelty when necessary. Its not because he enjoys seeing others suffer, or being hurt because of him. Quite the contrary Drago disapproves of violence upon those undeserving of violence. No Drago acts cold towards others because he's scared of getting attached to other people and watching them die like the others he's grown somewhat attached too.
While violence isn't something he will normally use in a situation (Unless violence is required, in which case he's one of the first to charge into the fray) He's not above it, and see's it as something that is required to survive. However Drago's version of fighting is different than others, where most see an enemy to fight, Drago see's a puzzle to solve. His personal belief of conflict is, you don't need to be intelligent to fight, but you need it if you want to win. While he will be the first to admit that a loss can teach more than a win can, he will also tell you, a lose means you die in a real fight, and you cannot come back from death.
history
Drago was born of a single mother, both of whom were left by whomever was his father to die in the streets. His mother both wouldnt and couldnt talk about who ever this bastard was, as when she was left there they had cut out her tongue. However she obviously survived as she managed to get Drago and herself out of their home nation, a place Drago doesn't even remember, and doesn't care to find. She fled to Valland and it was there that he was raised by herself and the church. After he was able to walk his mother disappeared, and he was taken to a location deep within Valland. During this time he met his Dragon Teacher. He was given to the Dragon as a student, one forced to Teach, one forced to learn.
Athest the Fiorian Shadow Dragon, was apparently held captive against his will by Valland. They had been attempting to have the Dragon create for them a new emperor, a Dragon "Slayer" they called it. They wanted it for whatever Coupe they were planning. However before they could use a pureborn Vallish child, they had to make sure the dragon wouldn't kill them. This had been going on for years, and Drago was just one of the test samples. If things went wrong, he was simply a meal for the angry drake, if things went right, he was a guinea pig who was fit to be killed to maintain silence.
It was by Athest that Drago was taught how to fight, and more importantly how to never trust a human being. The cynical creature treated him as what he was, someone else's child dumped on him by a stranger he hated. If he wanted respect he would have to earn it, and there was nothing he could do to earn that respect short of killing the dragon itself, or killing everyone else in the facility and setting the dragon free, or just setting him free and letting him raze the place to the ground.
However he WAS taught by the dragon. The general "Nox" as he apparently liked to fancy himself, had worked some of the kinks out of his "Machine". Allowing the Dragon to be controlled if not completely docile when wanted. Athest taught Drago more out of contempt for the Empire than the persuasion of the machine however, knowing that if he stayed here and continued to do whatever it was the empire wanted with those taught the magic used by Dragons, they would never let him go, not even after the empire had an army of these soldiers.
Athest was acceptably a terrible teacher, he had no idea how to talk to the child until spending years with it. When Drago was trained in everything the Dragon believed it was possible to master, he made his request to the man. Drago was to kill him and set him free from this hell of an existence. Drago while he didnt like the request, accepted the Dragon's request of an honorable death, and killed his mentor. This resulted in an immedate attempt at intervention by the imperial soldiers keeping them under lock and key. They failed to stop him, and failed to keep him from using "Force" to leave them behind. He fled alone this time to Fiore.
While he didnt know it was Fiore, he lived there for a short time, finding it hard to live amongst the ordinary citizens. Instead he joined the magic council, which almost immedately afterwards fell apart in its own coupe sparking the civil war between Loyalists and Crusaders. Drago was lost in the paperwork, falling into the crusaders ranks as he watched the Loyalists be hunted like dogs. This lasted for an achingly long time until the Councils problems were solved by several individuals, one of them the Ghost of the Council, who afterwards taught several groups of soldiers who he called "Templars". Drago was one of these soldiers trained during this time. Unfortunately after their training, the Ghost of the Council, a good man by all record, pleaded guilty to all of his counts of espionage, war crimes, and even starting the Civil War itself. Refusing absolution due to the heroic things he had done for his nation, he was executed.
Upon his 2nd mentors death, Drago left the Council before its reform, and meeked out a meager existence of his own around the northern edge of the woodsea. Which is when the war against Nox and the Dragons broke out. Irritatedly Drago took part in the back ground, aiming to cut the head off this snake shaped problem for good. In the end he came across a crazed, scared, twisted mockery of his former teacher. Forced alive by Vallish magitecknology and driven to insanity by the things keeping him alive, bound to their control by Nox's finished machine. Drago once again put his master down, barely surviving the scuffle between the two. He then left to go mind his own business in Fiore, letting everything take its place naturally.
Primary Magic
Name: Shadow Dragon Slayer Magic. Description: Dragon slayer magic is intriguing in its complexities, as it is mind baffling simple in concept. Allowing one to do things such as convert their body to the element they are trained in, or elements theoretically. As well as this the user of Dragon slayer magic is capable of consuming their element for things such as subsistence or to regain spent energy. It's an impressive magic with a whole list of unknowable capabilities, and possibly other such things that haven't even been remotely explored.
Shadow Dragon Slayer Magic is aspected to Darkness, and Shadows. Allowing its user to manipulate Darkness and Shadows, as well as in essence "Meld" into shadow. However this also means its weakness is light based magic, as well as sources of light from around him.
Signature Ability
Name: Darkforge Element: Darkness. Description: Drago's favorite ability and technique is the ability to create seemingly solid constructs out of pure darkness. These constructs seem to devour the light around them causing them create a sort of "Negative Glow". While not being able to create entire buildings or anything immensely complex, his talent and love for this technique is displayed by several of his spells allowing him to create multiple blades, as well as armor and barriers from shadows and darkness, besides just the manipulation of his body that other Dragon Slayers can do.
