Rena nodded thoughtfully. That sounded like an interesting profession, and the girl would like to travel along with the caravans some time when they were headed to a place that was more interesting or exciting. Eden had said that she saw a lot of different places, and travelling all across the country and wherever else possible was intriguing the girl. Just then, Rena realized that Eden had asked her a question, and frowned just a tiny bit. She had thought that she already told the girl, but apparently not-- oh, that was right. Rena had only said something about using dancing in her magic, and hadn't mentioned anything else.
"Oh... I'm a dancer and singer, and typically I'll find small roles to play with troupes or such in the towns that I pass through," the mage said in way of simple reply. Rena usually didn't interact with people much, and spent her days wandering around alone. It was a bit awkward to have such a long conversation with another person such as this one, but the girl supposed that it was also sort of nice, in a way. To be able to tell people things, that is. Rena decided to take a chance and ask, "So, do you know when we'll be stopping?" It was really a random question, and Rena knew that it didn't make any sense as soon as the words left her mouth. She wanted to take it back, but was already feeling a little bit embarrassed. At least this way, she would get some kind of response from the Eden.
Eden had a pretty straight forward job title. Security. Her job description was a bit more colorful, but it was still quite routine for the teenage girl by now. It did seem like every time Eden said something to Rena, the younger girl completely tuned out. It wasn’t really insulting, but it was weird. Eden wasn’t that interesting, but Rena seemed like she was much more interested in Eden’s answers than answering any questions herself. No harm there, but it would get pretty boring for Eden if she actually didn’t answer.
Singer and a dancer. “Oh, that’s cool!” Eden said quickly, smiling. It really was cool. She travelled to find work, as opposed to travelling for the work. Well, it was “for” it, just in a different way. But still, she was a performer, which was really neat. “What sort of places do you perform? That makes sense about using your dancing, since you have the magic. Clever idea.” This was probably the most interested she’d been in the conversation the whole time. Although Eden got another question. She couldn’t give too much for Rena to think about, or else she might forget to answer the previous question. “Not sure when we’ll be stopping, probably not for several hours.”
