Ira's most notable trait is his preferred hair style, in which he has his hair gelled back and has two horn-like shapes at the front. Ira has a tendency to wear formal clothes, mostly his red vest and cyan blue tie. In fact, most of Ira's clothes revolve around the color red, even his informal clothing, which consists of a red jacket and a pair of jeans, complete with a brown backpack and red sneakers. There are only really two constants between Ira's two outfits: His strangely styled hair and the golden bracelet around his left wrist. Ira inherited this bracelet from his parents and it is all he has left of them, so he never removes it.
In addition to his normal formal outfit, he has taken the liberty of always wearing a navy blue jacket draped over his shoulders like a cape, along with wearing bandages across his right eye and both forearms.
personality
Some might know of Ira Chui as one of the few that spearheaded the Magic Council Loyalist’s take back of control, along with a few other people from many different backgrounds and guilds. He has since become a shadow of his former self, becoming plagued by nigh insanity and cold blooded rage. His mind has become forged in blood and hate, his spirit has become vengeful and his eyes see only darkness.
He has his moments of normalcy, though they are few and far between and mostly an act. A shred of hope remains for him however, as his humour remains nearly untouched, merely darkened by his struggles. He is extremely intelligent, able to solve problems faster than most people can and is very reliant on his instincts.
He is unlikely to trust anybody, treating anybody unknown to him as an enemy and is religiously protective and loyal to the few people he is close to.
history
Ira grew up with stories of war heroes like Argon Cornelius, the one who defended Fiore against the forces on the opposite end of the war with Valland. He wished to be just like them, to lead armies into battle and defend his country with honour and valour, to be respected and loved by many.
This lead to him joining the Magic Council at a young age, aiming to become a Seeker and to defend Fiore from threats within and without. Typically for him he completed his training just before the Magic Council split into two factions with him staying loyal to Argon, even staying behind to buy Argon and his forces some time to escape nearly at the cost of his own life.
He was the only survivor of the ones that had stayed behind and fought to the last breath, losing an arm in the process which he eventually regrew using his magic. From there on he dedicated most of his time to defeating the Crusaders, even going as far as to join up with a group of rag-tag mages from all over in what could only be described as a “suicide squad”, designed to strike at the Crusaders in any way they could.
With this group Ira grew and learned, becoming stronger and stronger as he did, fostering his darkness with each life he was forced to take. As the group grew and became stronger and defeated the Crusaders more commonly with each encounter, the Loyalists also regained strength and struck back at the Crusaders, eventually defeating them alongside the legal guilds and reforming the Magic Council as a whole in order to begin rebuilding.
But it turned out that Ira’s group would not be remembered. Not once were any of them mentioned, even those who died to fight back against the Crusaders or Shadow Heart, filling Ira with bitterness and anger at the Council and the light guilds for allowing his friends’ sacrifices to be forgotten. He refused to re-join the Council as a warrior, isolating himself afterwards and honing his abilities in secret whilst his hate grew inside of him, driving him insane with visions and the voices of his friends.
He returned to society on the eve of the attack by Nox, helping protect Fiore because of his now twisted sense of duty, managing to slay a singular dragon before leaving the rest to deal with it in his bitterness. Before he could leave again, he was contacted by Red Blades, requesting that he joined them.
The Ira of the past would have refused immediately, but the new, vengeful, Ira accepted without thought in his rage. He spent his time there killing for money, honing his skills and plotting. He was angry at the world and at the Council for forgetting his friends, which was why he was one of Truth’s first and greatest supporters for guild master. He could see she had a plan and if it involved destroying the council, he’d see it done…
For his friends….
Primary Magic
Name: Complete Metamorphosis Magic Description: Through years of study and practice with his magic, Ira has progressed it into something spectacular. It works on the same premise, rearranging his own DNA in order to change his body to suit his needs, with two key differences now: His transformations were all instantaneous now and he could absorb the DNA and biomass of any Non-Human creature he killed, not only healing himself using the biomass but also giving him the ability to increase his repertoire of qualities to choose from. The magic still comes with a lack of elemental ranged techniques, but instead allows him to fire gases and acid from his body by coding his DNA to produce the acid.
Signature Ability
Name: Shift Element: None Description: A basic ability of Ira’s in which he shifts his limbs only into weapons made of iron by increasing the rate at which his body produces iron, usually morphing his limbs into blades or claws and occasionally whips.
