Fairy Tail Rebirth focuses on the role playing experience over anything else, which is rather different than a good number of Fairy Tail sites. That said, there are a few things to keep in mind:
A roleplayer may only have one limited character, unless they use the money earned by posting to purchase another slot. They can have up to four limited characters maximum, no matter what.
If fighting another player character, you should discuss how the battle will go. If there are any problems, try talking it out. This isn't a contest of who's the better writer, but a challenge to help with a character's growth. Remember: A character often learns more from a loss than a win.
Magic and Equipment
A character may have more than one magic if it's appropriate, but those should be detailed in the spells section. The primary magic is the only one that will appear in the character's mini profile, and it should be the most defining magic to the character, regardless of what else they have.
Characters may also have any relevant equipment! Remember, this is a roleplay focused site, not a roleplaying game site. If you think it's appropriate, it probably is, so long as it isn't stepping on anyone else's fun.
Spells
Every character who can use magic has a primary form of magic, be it a holder magic (that is to say magic used through a medium such as a weapon or ring), or caster magic of any kind.
Characters may have any spells you can create, but they should stay true to the character and their magic. If for some reason this becomes a problem, a staff member might ask that you rethink how you are using your magic.
Some characters have more than one type of magic that they acquire over time. Usually a more novice character will almost certainly only have one, but an S-class wizard will often have at least two. If you want to create another magic, you can describe it in your characters' spells section. If it would be a limited magic for any reason, you must pm a staff member for permission.
Rank
A character's rank is more of a narrative tool than one to gauge power, unlike other sites. You could easily have a wizard with what another site would classify as A-rank power, but make him a C-rank character; it's all in how their organization/guild/group chooses to recognize their power.
A character with a special rank, such as Wizard Saint, Guild Master, or Ace, will have their rank set to this instead of their guild rank, denoting their special status. You can't be one of these unless you get permission from a staff member. Below is a list of every player character on-site with the special title they are permitted to use.
D-Rank:
D-rank wizards are either novices or people who don’t use magic very much. They’re not necessarily weak, but they tend to lack something that stronger wizards gain through experience and tenacity.
C-Rank:
These wizards are journeyman wizards, and most wizards fall under this category for a good long time. They’re usually stronger or more experienced than D-Rank wizards, and have the drive to take on just about any challenge.
B-Rank: These wizards are powerful, usually wielding more than one type of magic with a fair level of mastery in both. Never underestimate a B-rank opponent. They’re either extremely talented or have worked incredibly hard to get where they are.
A-Rank:
A-Rank wizards have mastered their craft, and are unusually strong or smart when it comes to using their chosen forms of magic. They’re but a stone’s throw away from being up there with the legendary S-Rank wizards, and a great many of A-rank wizards know it.
S-Rank+:
S-Rank wizards are the most powerful wizards in Fiore. Even at this tier, there is a wide degree of difference between individual wizards, some even wielding unimaginable legendary powers that make them terrifying enemies to even the hardest of foes.
Ace: Guild Aces are the go-to wizards in a large guild. They trusted to get the important things done, as well as to take care of their fellow guildmates no matter the cost. There can be more than one Ace, and each and every one are people the younger members can approach when they need help - assuming the Ace has the time in their busy schedule.
Guild Master: Often (But not always) the most powerful or experienced wizard in a guild, Guild Masters are what make the cogs turn behind the curtains. They often deligate jobs to other wizards they think can handle them, but that doesn't mean they aren't perfectly capable of handling themselves.
Captain: Captain is somewhere between Ace and Guild Master. They're the highest ranking members of a squad of Templars, often giving the orders on the field and doing the paperwork back home.
Wizard Saint: A title given to a rare few wizards. Every Wizard Saint is incredibly powerful and recognized as such throughout all of Fiore and possibly beyond. While an S-rank wizard might be demoted temporarily to D-rank for joining a new guild, a Wizard Saint can only be stripped of his or her title by the Council of Fiore itself.
