Mooch smiled as he watched the land beyond gallows town. Most people didn't travel the wastes of West Fiore without a reason, especially without a vehicle of some sort. However Mooch was not most people. His smile never faded as he watched a group of motorcycles appear on the horizon. Their targets, a biker gang known as "The Leather Devils". Honestly he had been working forward to this exact moment, mainly because he had been planning on taking them out eventually, they were working The Hawks turf, and that wasn't allowed. The best part was they were going to get paid for this. TWICE actually.
Earlier today he had managed to track down a job request within the Golden Hearts mage guild, who were apparently so small time that no one really knew about them. Sadly there were very FEW jobs there, but this one was perfect for his current crew. After finding the job itself, he had Neala track down the young lady "Jo" to acquire the details from her, they didn't really need the details, however it was always best to make sure that you covered all the legal loopholes with mage jobs, that way people knew to pay YOU and not someone else for doing it. Then while she was off doing that, Mooch had designed and built small earbuds with a relatively minor networked information Lacrima. Something that he planned for the Talons to use for large jobs regularly. He smiled as he thought about the genius of them, they both displayed information to the wearer, on a micro second delay, that was almost a live feed!, as well as allowed voice communication between wearers.
As the Bikers came into range he slid his goggles on over his eyes, the goggles crammed with small advanced systems and a multitude of uses that could go beyond describing picked up on their speed, their sizes, the models of their bikes, and various weapons they may have hidden on them. A few of them he managed to pick up faces for and fact check them with wanted posters he had previously looked at. Only two active bounties popped up, a supposed S ranked mage who specialized in Sand Magic, potent as it was out here in the middle of sandy wasteland. And a man who was credited with beating the tar out of 14 mages single handedly with nothing but his bare hands, odd bare was misspelled on his wanted poster. Whatever, Mooch tagged the two who were probably a much higher power level then the others and watched them pass by.
"Goonsquad heading towards you Cael, Neala." He said as he moseyed on outside the one lone building they just passed, a small shack where people commonly stopped for rests in this vast wasteland the Hawks called their own. He slid his hand down infront of him and pressed what appeared to be an invisible button in front of him that only he could see via the goggles.
A Very small HUD would appear in the bottoms of his two accomplices right eye, and an electronic voice rang out with. Mission Clock On. As six numbers appeared on screen. 00:00:01 The seconds counting upwards quickly.
"Lets take them out snappy, we have more important things to do today" He finished as he started to approach their Crash site after them. "Man these guys are in a hurry to their accident arnt they?" He said snarkily commenting on how fast they were going towards the other Two. The plan was simple, ambush them and get them off their bikes. In an actual on foot based brawl, the Hawks won every time. So naturally he told Neala to render them bike-less, but to make sure the bikes worked afterwards.

Cael looked up from the tunnels he just finished digging long enough to wipe the sweat off of his brow, breathing a bit before continuing on with his work. Reaching into his vest, Cael began to draw out a length of chain which he then fed across two loops located on either side of the tunnel. He then connected it to the canvas that he had made out of grass and moss, pressure would tug the chain and pull the covers over the tunnel, hiding them from view. He chuckled to himself as he thought of the design, it wasn't meant to capture the gang members, merely their bikes. The only problem was the amount of time it took to dig these tunnels and make the covers (Especially after digging more than needed so Mooch can have a few extra to tinker with [Aren't I thoughtful?]), though he supposed he could've asked Neala for help, he felt some sort of pride from making traps and having them work, like watching a babe grow up into a fine young man.
Anyway, all this time spent digging tunnels and making cover left Cael parched, he hopped out of hole he was in and walked over to his trunk of tools and drank from water-skin while picking out the gear he expected he would need for this operation. He was slightly disappointed that he didn't really have time to set more actual traps for the ensuing fight, sure he had set a few; a few trip wires here and there, a couple spike and dart traps, even a double swinging log (Ha, classic), but nothing major. Though he supposed he would just have to make do, besides, it gave him a chance to really enjoy the fight again.
"Goonsquad heading towards you Cael, Neala." said Mooch's voice, coming from the small device he had given Cael,
A Very small HUD appeared in the bottom of Cael's right eye, and an electronic voice rang out with. Mission Clock On. As six numbers appeared on screen. 00:00:01 The seconds counting upwards quickly.
"Lets take them out snappy, we have more important things to do today" Mooch continued before remarking, "Man these guys are in a hurry to their accident aren't they?"
Cael merely smiled and got up, dusting himself off in the process, "Show time..." He said wickedly as he moved to his allotted position.
"You have you will in your palm~ So plant your dreams and wishes now~" Neala sang under her breath as she spread roots throughout the ground, she'd have to avoid using her magic when they went and did the actual job, but for now she was trying to gain as much control over the battle ground as possible. It would be nice to have totally dominion over the area before the show started. There was so little pants here, and it was sooo hot! Neala wiped her forehead and grinned. "You must grow strong~ No room for weltered flo~wers~" She continued tossing the shovel over her head. She looked around at the plants she inserted into the area, small ones and a few that grew deep powerful and long roots, they'd be easy to miss considering their size. Cael was doing something to the stage as well, she didn't ask and it looked like he was enjoying himself. That was good, he needed fun in his life, most of this guilds members needed some time to just relax. Bunch of paranoid criminals they were.
"Goonsquad heading towards you Cael, Neala." Her boss's voice appeared over the com, she grinned as she slammed the shovel just about all the way buried into the dirt and hid inside the wood watching the dust clouds approach from a distance. She glanced at the heads up display, that was fancy. Looked so nice, bossman did good work. "Lets take them out snappy, we have more important things to do today" Her boss said after a moment, causing the northern amazon to grin. "Man these guys are in a hurry to their accident arent they?" Well he was feeling a bit snarky today he must be having fun. Good everyone was having fun, the Leather devils were getting closer. She couldn't wait to get this show on the road. They were here! Neala connected her senses to the plants and instantly felt the changes Cael made to the area, Well now wasn't he a clever little boy?
"Will you stay or will you go the choice is yours its yes or no~" She sang as she maneuvered the roots that she was connected with, to spring up from the ground and clothes line as many of the bandits as possible. Cael had good positioning Even if she missed or the roots were dodged someone was falling down those pitfalls. Then there was a moment when she was shocked to find that several of the leather devil cleanly avoided her surprise attack. Several got hit and others fell but five avoided everything either through luck or skill she didn't know nor did she care. Cael and Mooch knew their priority targets now while the others "Voices whisper in your ear~" She sang as she rose out of the ground and drew her parasol. Well She was a front lines fighter anyways. "There's nothing to fear~"
"Ambusher, shoot her and let's get the others bikes out of her ditches." Oh they had guns, good thing she had her parasol, why didn't she use this thing when she was hot again earlier? Oh yeah shovel. She opened the parasol and crouched behind it as several of the leather devils drew weapons and fired on her. Well hopefully she didn't ruin Cael's plan for this fight, she was trying to give him a good in. She kinda wanted to see how he was gong to handle it. Oh this was going to be so much fun! "Get around her side and shoot her unprotected areas you dumbasses!" Oh wow one of them at least was pretty smart.

It was going to take him awhile to catch up to the small scuffle he would assume would break out instantly. Neala liked to punch things, they were things, hence they would be enjoyably punched. Simple logic really. As he continued walking towards his targeted ambushing spot, of this very well preformed and planned out expert flanking maneuver, he whistled a merry tune. There was a flash of light and a small fizzle noise and suddenly he was holding what looked like a four barreled rifle, with a flick of his wrist the breach opened up to reveal the back portion of its barrels. He pulled four small shells colored red out from the inside of his jacket and inserted them into the cold metal tubes, and flicked the breach back closed with a resounding catching noise. He smiled a little bit, this stuff was always fun.
He loved bank robberies, they always led to greater rewards then just the bank. If they stayed according to the plan and nothing interesting happened they could catch the 9:00 train to make their getaway. Well, that remained to be seen first steps first, Stupidnamedbandits, then the other things.

Cael grinned as he watched Neala lift the roots up and took down the bikers, sending a few of the bikes rolling into his tunnels, sliding their covers over them easily. He pulled up a hood over his head and it proceeded to mask his face in shadows, and slipped his hands into his sleeves to make sure he was prepared before allowing his mind slip into his other persona. "Ambusher, shoot her and let's get the others bikes out of her ditches." said one of gang members indicating Neala and reaching for his own weapon. Neala pulled out her parasol, opened it, and crouched behind it during the onslaught of ensuing gunfire, "Get around her side and shoot her unprotected areas you dumbasses!" shouted the gang member again, a poor move on his part as it made him Cael's target, but first...
Four members of the gang moved to flank Neala, splitting to pincer her on either flank, it was almost cute the way they thought they could defeat Cael's ally. Pulling out needles and leaping, Cael put him self into a front flip and spun, sending the needles flying through the air. They hit three of the four who immediately started screaming, the needles that Cael had chosen were ones coated in a poison designed for pain. Cael landed on his feet and started calmly walking towards the remaining would-be flanker at a calm and steady pace. The gang member yelled in fear as the shadowed assailant ripped through his allies with relative ease and turned his gun upon this unknown opponent.
The gang member opened fire upon the shadowed one, ignoring his earlier target, and holes began to seemingly fill Cael's body. In spite of the holes that filled his body, this shadowed warrior still walked as calmly and sure as it started. After a bullet pierced the body's right eye it stopped and it soon became clear to those versed in illusions what had happened. However this man was not one such warrior, "Ghost!" He shouted in fear and turned to run, but Cael's hand slammed down onto his head and bent him over backwards to stare up at him.
"Uh uh uh~" said Cael, whose hood layered sound over it to sound demonic, "An eye for an eye~" He said as he plunged a needle directly into the gang members right eye (Those with the ear devices can hear the change between the usual teasing manner of Cael and the cold edge that holds his voice now). The biker screamed in pain and fell on the floor of the forest writhing, and Cael leaned to his left as a fist shot past where he stood. He looked over his shoulder to stare into the eyes of a rather large man who had a very angry look in his eyes. The new opponent struck out with his other fist again and Cael was forced to hop away before turning to face his opponent.
"You shouldn't have done that little man" Said the new comer as his fists returned to his ready stance, to which the only response from Cael was to chuckle, his hood making it turn into an eerie sound that filled the area, and then the two charged each other.
Neala grinned as Cael interrupted the leather devil's flanking assault leaving her free to deal with the big guy. Neala breathed in and smiled, she put a hand on the ground and rushed forwards as the flankers descended into chaos. She charged forwards just before the bullets stopped firing due to the lacrima clips running out. She flipped over her parasol closing it and slamming it against the lacrima guns as they were trying to reload and landed on her feet. She tossed her parasol into the air and clapped her hands.
"Alright boys I will give you this once chance to run away screaming like little girls. One chance, after than none of you will escape got it? No mercy from this woman. if I have to individually scalp every last one of you I will if I need to so choose wisely~" She said with a mocking tone, she clearly wanted them to fight even these dunderheads had to understand that. There was a moment of brief silence as the others considered her offer, then in sync they all dropped into a ready stance as a large man approached her from his bike. "Well you are a tall bastard are you not? Too bad my lil brothers bigger than you." She said grinning kicking up the dust at her feet and catching her parasol as it came down beating the nearest devil on the neck with it knocking him back and ducking under the knife slash of a gang member behind her lifting her foot up to his crotch well that was just sad. She rose up and lifted her parasol in the way of a chain that wrapped around it just narrowly missing her face.
"Alright girly ready to go for a ride?" The big man said a smug look on his face Neala gave him a questioning smile.
"I am clearly an adult." She said simply a look of confusion appearing on his face before he shook his head and drove off with her parasol, she released her grip on it. Did he think she was going to hold on to it? She wasn't, she was just as deadly without it. She'd get that back as soon as he inevitably came back to get her for not aligning to his whims. What was he even thinkin-huh? Neala felt something heavy smack against her before it bounced back into the ground. she blinked and turned towards whoever was dumb enough to tackle a war tribe member. It was like trying to tackle a brick wall, you were going to lose-woah wait is that a woman? There was a woman in this group? She coulda sworn it was all guys, when did this chick show up? The woman was suddenly on her feet and striking at her faster than most could even hope to, well hells this was actually interesting. "Boss looks like they got someone interesting here and she's feisty. If she shows some potential can I keep her?" She asked nonchalantly dodging the attacks.
"Why you FIGHT ME!" The woman shouted grabbing a bike that was speeding by lifting it over her head and chucking it at Neala.
"One second boss, can't talk she threw a bike at me." Neala said could she catch that? She was definitely strong enough to throw it, she was only a little bit weaker than Atrum and he'd have no problem throwing a bike like that. Well no time like the present to be a badass. Neala threw out her arms and braced herself no magic cheating here all upper body strength aaaaaand- whoa, a bit heavier than she thought this thing was entirely metal then. That was interesting, she tested the weight in her hands and topped it to one hand heavy, but manageable. Any War tribe member her age should be able to do this if they put their mind to it. She tossed it over her shoulder and grinned. "Right then now that you got the immature girl out of your system now I will fight you. Ready to put that strength to good use now?" Neala asked as the woman made a snarling nose and charged her, well here was hoping her strength wasn't magic enhance, cause then she was a wildcard who happened to be strong. "Oh I am going to have so much fun!"
Mooch continued about his approach and his merry tune, now that his shotgun was loaded his now free hand was snapping along forming a more reliable beat to work with. His step matched the song and in a way seemed more relaxed than normal, though if anyone who knew him was to see it, they would be able to tell it was more of a rouse than anything. Still it was enjoyable in and of itself in the act of it.
A gang member one of the twenty of them, heard him approach, wasn't hard, the man was almost a walking musical number compared to the normal conditions of the beach. This gang member, male drew a bat from over his shoulder. It was a nice bat, shiny, metallic, baty, you know normal bat like things. He called out to Mooch and told him to turn around if he knew what was good for him, but naturally Mooch made true on the common understanding that all humans should have with life.
He did not know what was better for him, and as such life went on, and Humanity went on, and so did Mooch, still whistling his happy tune as he approached. The man getting angry now, walked over to the small man and tried to stop him with said bat. The swing went at his face, and Mooch with a calm simply flick of his wrist flipped the small device covered in tubes using the small lever in the back as a fulcrum, and without a single pause in beat pulled the trigger.
There was a large bang, as a small blue projectile ripped out of the top barrel and straight into the mans crotch. The bats momentum changed drastically as the man reacted to the violence, and instead whacked himself straight across the knee with the bat and dropped to the ground along side it. Mooch continuing to whistle his jaunty merry tune, simply continued walking and as he passed the man he pulled the trigger again, this time the barrel aimed at the mans face. With another blast of sound, and a solid crunch the mans nose was broken and he was rendered rather inert. Mooch simply again, flicked the weapon around via its lever mechanism, which caused one of its barrels to rotate into place.
"Boss looks like they got someone interesting here and she's feisty. If she shows some potential can I keep her?" rang across his microphone, sadly to answer her he would have to unmute himself, and he was rather busy at the moment, with all the whistling. So instead of answering he just continued to snap to the beat and whistle his song, everything would work out in the end. She was sure if Neala could manage to contain a person who could fight she deserved to keep her. Even when that person was apparently capable of throwing motorcycles.
Three peple had noticed Mooches take down of their rearguard and had started to approach him, now with weapons drawn. "Boss he must be with the other ambushers!" "He's only got one barrel boys, if we take him from multiple sides we can take him!" Silly bandits, didnt they know? Tricks were for kids. So naturally the idiots decided to charge him from several flanking directions. He simply Cracked open the breach, and quickly palmed two more shots into the empty barrels faster than they started running. With a flick of his wrist he closed the breach and reloaded the weapon. Then placing the weapon calmly against his shoulder he dropped into a crouch and and placed the other hand against the hammer of the weapon and pulled it back and let go, then turned and did the same thing, twice. The results were three men groaning and clutching their groins as Mooch flipped the thing around rotating it to the last barrel. Never even breaking beat.
He hoped things were going as smoothly for the others as they were for him as he placed three more shells into the gun.
The big man drew his right fist back and low as he charged Cael, intending to hit him with a powerful uppercut. Cael however didn't change course as he got closer, not until the fist nearly made contact, and then he threw his head backwards and dropped to his knees. Sliding across his knees past his opponent and lashing out by swinging his staff and slamming it home into the back of the big mans knees, causing him to fall to the ground. Then, Cael threw his body into a forward roll and came turning into a ready stance; feet planted shoulder with apart, body lowered, sword in a one handed high guard, body positioned so it presented less of a target. The big man actually chuckled as he got up and looked towards Cael.
"Now did ya honestly think a stick like that would hurt me? Whatever, you at least deserve to know who you will die to, the names Mo, Mo Powahs." He said jabbing a thumb into his chest.
Cael snorted in derision, 'What is with this crew and horrible names?' he thought to himself.
Neala ducked underneath the woman's fist twirling her body so she stood straight up and kicked the woman in the chest throwing her backwards. She grinned as she watched the young, raven haired woman got back to her feet. Neala observed her dress style, ripped up jeans some kinda dress short underneath a leather dress black fingerless leather gloves, black leather boots. Well if she proved to be worth keeping around then she could work on her fashion sense since, seriously who dressed like this? These guys were literally the only ones she ever seen like that.
"Rise and take flight darling~ let us Soar high~" Neala sing as the young fair skinned woman rushed her again throwing punch and frustrated punch as Neala dodged and continued to scan for the S rank mage while under her assault. The young woman was a bundle of raw talent that hadn't been utilized at all it was down right insulting actually. "For the first time you are alive~! Don't you forget that!" Neala raise a hand and caught the oncoming fist of her opponent feeling her body shift as it's momentum was slightly stronger than she expected. Got him there was a mage on the outskirts of the fight just watching he seemed to be waiting? Neala pulled the fist towards her as she felt the woman's muscles tense for another attack and dodged to the side. "Rise and take flight darling~ It is your time~" The Woman grabbed a bike of the ground and tried to smash Neala with it, she lifted her leg straight up and caught it, the leg was around three times stronger than a person's a arms. He lowered her body by bending her legs and then suddenly straightened them effectively kicking the bike away from her knocking the woman on her ass. "There is no room for wilting flowers here, smile and wipe away your tears." She said walking over to her and offering a hand.
"Screw you! You arrogant bitc-" Neala hand snapped away from the predictable slap and grasped the woman's mouth.
["Adorable!"
[/color] She sneer before she tossed her into one of cael's pits her vines snaking into them and restraining her. "There that should keep her busy for a while, Boys I got eyes on Mr. S rank If no one has any objections, I think I am going to go plant my foot firmly between his lungs now." She said dodging the idiot that stole her parasol. "I might also beat him with this moron." She said briefly catching her umbrella and yanking as hard as she could with her flower drive active. "Boss mind telling me what the S rank guy could do again? I am not about to challenge the grandmaster of a previously unknown dark guild with a magic that allows him to absorb pain and turn it into power again am I?" For some reason she had a bad feeling about this next fight.[/p]
(Gimmie like 2 months EVENTUALLY I'll remember im supposed to post =.=, sorry guys, havent been really feeling all "Writey", video games, and other writing requirements (things for FTL) have eaten my time) "Conjuration of somesort actually. Summons things. Dont worry, could be worse, I could walk right into h-"
There were moments when Mooch wished he wasn't logically afraid of everything. It made sense really, everyone had fears, however the smaller and scrawnier you were you feared bigger and meaner things, natural reaction really. The smarter and more logical you were? You fear things that are logically scary, like mages. The issue with EVERYONE potentially being able to use magic, and everyone POTENTIALLY having a unique magic? Someones eventually going to win the damn MAGIC FEAR lottery, and get a magic that is the LITERAL "Fuck you" button provided by whatever cruel higher power decided that this bullshit system was okay.
At the current moment, this was a magic based around conjuration of familiars. Familiars with Eight legs, more eyes, sharp little fangs covered in possibly the most terrifying thing ever, lava. Yeah, you read that right. Lava. Hot burning, boiling fucking molten rock. Capable of searing the flesh off of bone without even direct contact of said flesh, or bone.
Giant. Spiders. Made of rock. and Magma. Oh and they could breathe fire.
So naturally upon sight of this magic, and the questions Neala was asking at the moment, Mooch's response was the logical response to both her question, and this reveal of "Magical Fuck you buttons"
".......uh...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" And maybe a hundred gunshots and more rampant screaming.
