REQUEST Request name: Murder Mystery in Cross Town Mission Type: Investigation Client name: Brother Raul Objective: Investigate a mysterious fire and figure out the reason for Sam's death. Location: Cross Town Request description: A horrible fire in Cross Town decimated one particular house... Although the authorities present ruled it an accident, more details are surfacing to suggest arson and possibly murder. Request details: -Arrive at Cross Town and find the burned building, or see Brother Raul. *Since this is supposed to be a murder mystery the exact steps to this mission can be left to intepretation. Instead, details surrounding the fire will be provided below, and let the PCs decide the eventual outcome. -Receive the general details from Raul: a fire burned down a residential house, which belonged to Sam and his daughter Shirley. A passing Templar investigated the fire, but ruled it an accident. -Sam's body shows injuries that could not have been simply caused by a fire. -After the accident, Shirley stays at her boyfriend Micah's house. -Micah and Sam were known to not get along very well, and were rumored to have a fight over Shirley not long before the fire. -The Templar is not a local to Cross Town, and arrived almost at a perfect time to rule the incident as an accident. *all NPCs listed below could have potential motivation to kill Sam; the murderer (or murderers!) is left to the PC to decide who it is. NPC's Name: Brother Raul Type: Client Age: 50ish General Appearance: Dressed in priest robes, older man and well-respected in Cross Town. Personality: Caring towards those in trouble. Spells/Abilities: Caster type – lightning magic Other: Raul was the last person seen talking to Sam. He had come to his home to try and negotiate Sam's blessing on Shirley and Micah. Knowing that a Templar was in town, Raul first approached Templar Levi for help. Name: Shirley Arrieta Type: NPC Age: 20 General Appearance: Shirley looks like your average young woman, blond hair. She is clearly distraught after her house burning down and father's death, and can often be seen staring vacantly. Personality: Extremely quiet, troubled and easily alarmed by the prospect of her father's death being a murder. Eager to accept any kindness from her boyfriend Micah. Spells/Abilities: None Other: None Name: Micah Type: NPC Age: 21 General Appearance: Dark hair and dressed more formal for someone his age. Personality: Generally very serious and to the point. Around Shirley he can be particularly gentle. Even after Sam's death, Micah still shows trace aggression towards Shirley's father, though he is careful what he says around Shirley. Spells/Abilities: holder type – gunslinger Other: Micah runs his own small business, a small trade shop in Cross Town. Name: Levi Type: NPC Age: 25 General Appearance: Wearing the Templar uniform He is of medium stature and build but always wears a very cross expression. Personality: Levi can make jokes that are in poor taste from time to time. He dismisses early notions of the fire being arson very quickly, and can grow upset if pressed on the issue of murder. Spells/Abilities: Wields sword and shield. Magical abilities enhance physical attributes. Other: Levi might not actually be a Templar at all, and is wearing a discarded uniform he found in order to get some free respect.
