Cael is lightly tanned with goldish brown eyes, he stands at 6’1 with medium length blonde hair, he is commonly seen wearing a dress shirt, slacks, and a black vest, Cael owns several pairs of sunglasses that he keeps on his person at all time, if he loses or breaks a pair, he simply pulls out another. Besides his steady supply of sunglasses Cael carries on him his staff (this staff is magical in nature and holds its own abilities), cards (Just cards) and when he is on the hunt he carries a trunk with him that holds all of his creations/toys (Traps and equipment he uses for hunting demons).

Confident/Arrogant: Cael is quite confident in his own abilities, willing to take on some rather intimidating assignments. However that same confidence ends up getting him some rather sticky situations. Friendly/Manipulative: Cael tries to maintain a friendly appearance when engaging with others however, he does see others as tools or pawns that allow him maneuver them as he sees fit. This interferes with him developing any true depth in a relationship. Loving/Jealous: Though Cael believes in love as a concept he doesn’t quite experience it. He yearns for a feeling of real love, but do to the distance he keeps from others emotionally he cannot really get it. However he does end up getting jealous, mainly of power, status, or a skill that he does not actually possess. Passionate/Obsessive: When Cael gets into a particular subject, he tends to dive headlong into it. This means that he can learn at an increased pace and learn a wide variety of skills at any one time. However he can go a bit overboard with it and this leads him to quickly getting bored with a subject if it does not hold the same spark of interest that it used to. Charismatic/Reckless: Cael is quite charismatic and has a way with people that sits on the border between pure skill and an art form, people just seem to listen when he talks, and notice his absence. However, he tends to think that a plan will succeed unless shown proof otherwise.

Born Cael Aedan Dearg, Cael hails from a noble family and far back in Cael’s family tree, one of Cael’s ancestors made a deal with a demon to gain the abilities of one so that he may become a more powerful demon slayer and allow his family to reside in relative comfort as part of the social elite at the cost of his wife’s soul. Cael’s ancestor, near the end of his life, decided to mark down the techniques and magic in text so that way those who come after him may continue to use them to bring glory (And wealth) to the family. This gave his family a genetic predisposition for shadow magic and deception, which they used to advance their family through the noble hierarchy. The patriarch of the family would lead them through the game of the houses and use the offspring as assassins to complete whatever task was set forth by the patriarch. Then after the first born son reached a specific age, he would be taught by the patriarch to become the next head of the family. Though in truth his family has long since abandon him due to his… opposing views… he did stay with the family long enough to learn well the intrigues of court and the family fighting style. The fighting style, named Fuip Ainsprid, was described as underhanded and vicious as it taught the user to use anything at his/her disposal to kill the opponent, from poisons and traps to caving in the surrounding building. Cael took this fighting style and tailored it to his particular needs, and soon was allowed to see the original text that not only taught the traditional techniques, but the magic that would be paired with it, Cael took to this magic like a duck to water, being the only one of his generation to learn it. Unfortunately, Cael (no matter how powerful), was the third born and, as such, was seen as disposable and he was sent increasingly difficult missions until he finally got fed up with it. Willingly giving up the family name and wealth, he left his home and went off in search of a new place, somewhere where he could shine, and do the things he likes, unfortunately that included things like theft, forgery, and cons. So what guild would accept a demon slayer who had a thing for illegal acts? Why the Hawks Talons of course! Though not all was easy for him, first Cael started showing up on their watch list as where he tended to go, a thief of some notoriety seemed to follow. This thief had the uncanny ability to get in and out of restricted zones with little to no effort, acquiring many a priceless item from the location before slipping away undetected into the night. One night, on a particular (And ALLEGED) heist, he set his eyes on the Staff of Lerent, a magical staff that had unknown abilities. Unfortunately, it seemed that the Hawks Talons sent their guild fist to acquire the item as well, and when Neala arrived, the staff was already gone. Soon after, the guilds leader managed to track Cael down and sent Neala to offered him a job. Cael rose through the ranks rather rapidly, proving his adaptability and consuming knowledge with such ferocity it was almost terrifying. It turns out that Cael had a knack for forgery and long cons, making him a valuable member of the guild. And so he continues, working with the guild in pursuit for more wealth.

Name: Shadow Devil Slayer Description:Shadow Devil Slayer magic is best described as a game of chess. Its techniques and strengths come from controlling a battle through the use of traps and gadgets to allow the user to gain the upper hand over the opponent. The use of this magic is not for many as this particular style is used to corrupt the opponent, afflicting them with something similar to curses and take them down from within. This magic can be classified as utility based, allowing such magics as shadow step, creating weapons, and manipulation of the shadows to trick the opponent into falling for traps (Some physical and other spells) set by the user. On top of the magic Cael has acquired the enhancements typical to a trained Devil Slayer, including enhanced senses, enhanced physical capabilities and immunity to damage from the shadow element.
Signature Ability
Name:Bás diabhail Element:Shadow Description: Caels body dissipates into what looks to be smoke, dispersing over the immediate area. Any light within the area begins to flicker and wane as it is being actively consumed by the darkness, the opponent begins to see flickers of movement in their peripherals (Note that this is not a illusion) as Cael presence seems to be all around them. Many believe they are safe if they stay alert, but in reality they now reside in an area where Cael can appear anywhere within. After what seems like minutes Cael begins an onslaught of attacks, before finally imploding the area with spikes made of shadow.
