"Who'd want to proposition a brat like you anyway?!" Hawke said from his front row hostage seat. She needed to stop claiming that. People would believe her and then he'd have a hard time getting by. Besides, she had no real figure to speak of! Not that he was looking or anything. "I know I certainly don't. Seriously... stick your neck out for a girl..."
That's when the thug with the knife went flying. Speed was her game... he didn't see it happen because he wasn't paying attention, but he was sure he would have if he was focused. Then she ordered him to attack the guy. Said guy was still holding him but looser now because he was in shock.
He used that looseness to suddenly apply pressure, pulling his hands free. Then he placed both hands on tthe bottom of the man's arms, pushing up just as suddenly. The resulting sudden moves freed Hawke and left the guy wde open. "You're the one eager to beat them up. Do your own dirty work, brat!"
"Letting a girl fight for you, huh Dummy?" Pyrrha flipped the spear in her hand. As it twirled it reassembled again, this time into the form of a rifle of some sort.
"The heck? This girl's loaded!" Mr. Calm was slowly getting up as he made the observation of her battle readiness a little too late.
"What about wearing an armored breastplate says I'm your easy mark type of girl, hm?" Pyrrha didn't wait for them to answer. She fired one shot, cocked, then fired another in rapid succession. The non-lethal rounds caught Mr. Angry in one shoulder, then the other, causing him to lose his balance from the sudden change in momentum and fall to the ground heavily. He probably had a fractured collarbone or shoulder after that.
By then, the other guy had gotten up and was looking for his dagger. Another flip and the weapon wasn't even drawn anymore; she'd already sheathed the compact weapon on the back of her belt. Her jump boots activated again, and she shoved off towards him. She kicked him upside the head causing him to twist and fall just like his partner. He was likely more stunned but less wounded.
"There." Pyrrha brushed off her gloved hands. "They're even easier than wizards," she commented idly before adjusting the ribbons around her pigtails again. "See? I was fine~" she insisted to Hawke. "All you did was annoy me. Is that supposed to be some sort of payback for not giving you a goodbye kiss for the lunch? Because I already thanked you for that and all this extra just means I don't really have to pay you back later."
"I don't want a kiss from you," He said flatly once the dust settled. They were non lethal wounds... and if they weren't bluffing then they'd killed people before. A big no no in Hawke's book. It was one of the reasons he'dd run away in the first place. To avoid having to kill people. It was funner and more rewarding to heal them.
"I also don't like hurting people unless I have to," He said shrugging as he worked on straightening out his clothes. If he was honest, she could probably beat him in a fight. Not without quite a bit off trouble... he knew how to fight. And he had magic. "Besides, aren't you the one in a mood? If I'd have actually tried to fight it would have ruined your fun."
"And you didn't owe me anything to begin with," He said pointedly. But then his tone took on a much less serious tone, as did hs posture and body language. "I only followed you out here because those two did. And I wasn't sure who had magic or what. So it was better to make sure things would work out instead of hope for the best. Now that I know you can fight, I'll bring a snack next time so I can watch. And hopefully not pretend to be a hostage again. Thanks for the whole saving me thing."

Pyrrha chuckled her amused chuckle when Hawke protested that he didn't want to kiss her. "That's okay. I don't want to kiss you either, so too bad for you~" It might have struck others who weren't currently at odds with her as funny. She wasn't taking any of the situation seriously.
She hadn't even taken the entire fight that seriously; her brothers were formidable mages and her main source of sparring partners as she grew up. They were fantastic at what they did because they had a lot to prove if they ever wanted to regain Belfyire's favor. Pyrrha, however, happened to be more talented than all of them. By comparison... these guys were nothing.
"And you know that there's no turns in fights, right? You were supposed to take advantage of the situation and beat up the other guy, but nooo you just played damsel in distress the whole time. I hope that wasn't supposed to impress me." The two men were making no effort to get up this time. She wasn't quite sure if they were out cold or not. It didn't really matter though.
Pyrrha was rather confused by Hawke. He seemed to think somehow he'd shown her something. "I dunno. I'd started off thinking you could fight but with all that hesitation I have to wonder if I wasn't wrong for once." She shrugged. "But I guess this is why girls are better than boys. So much more practical~"

"You're such a brat," He said with a sigh. Girls being better than boys? He'd show her a thing or two if he actually wanted to fight. But he would settle for being snarky. After all, watching people get angry was fun too. And usually less painful. Or strenuous to heal after they got hurt for being angry.
"I keep telling you I made the choice not to fight," He responded with a shrug. Then he took on a knowing grin as he practically looked down at her. "Since I can solve most of my problems by not rushing in and attacking them. Of course a barbarian like you wouldn't understand that. Nor do you really understand the consequences to your actions."
"Yes, girls are so much better" He said sarcastically, turning his back to her. He shrugged and gave a small sigh. "Since, you know, being a vigilante and inciting violence is generally against the law here. But being a girl you can do whatever you want right? Just keep being like the guys that put girls down and see how far that gets you here in Fiore. I can guarantee it'll be great."

"So then you made the choice not to help a girl who's fighting ability you hadn't even seen yet?" Pyrrha asked, raising an eyebrow. She had no idea how this guy logic'd. She let out a frustrated growl as she rolled her eyes. "You realize they had knives and were fully planning on tying me up and threatening me with said knife until I told them where I got the gold, right? Don't be a dummy, Dummy. Not acting can get people hurt, you know." She picked up Bloo, who let out an almost soothing growl as if to say 'ignore him.'
Buuut then he kept going, talking about her being a vigilante and inciting violence and other things. "First off, I have no idea what a vigilante is," she told him almost proudly, "Also, I don't know about all girls being better than boys, but I know I'm definitely better than you because I'm not a dummy who's afraid to stand up for herself," she stuck out her tongue at him, hugging her arms around Bloo as she turned partially away. Her stance became that of, well, an insulted teenage girl. "Besides, I don't incite violence, I just finish it when other people start it."

"I'm not afraid to stand up for myself," He said shaking his head slowly. This girl... was so bratty he felt like he'd have a headache for the next month. "I've been living on my own and taking care of myself for the last year. I know both how to stand up for myself and take care of myself."
"Why're you mad for me letting you take care of yourself?" He asked shifting topic slightly. He pointed at her, his tone accusing. "You're the one that said you could take care of yourself back at the restaurant! But the moment I let you, you get mad! All I did was come out because it was two against one. And as the saying goes... better safe than sorry."
"But I guess you were just looking for a fight," He shrugged and shoved his hands into his pocket. "It's a wonder you made it into town with an attitude like this. One would think you'd be just a little grateful after I let myself get grabbed to tie up the thugs so you could take them one at a time. I'll be sure to bring a snack and just watch next time."

"Yeah yeah, excuses," Pyrrha crossed her arms and shrugged. Geeze this boy was annoying. Even her brothers didn't annoy her this much, and she had to live with them back home. She reached up and brushed at her bangs once while Bloo climbed around to the opposite shoulder, making a soft growl noise as if reassuring Pyrrha. "You do whatever you want," she informed Hawke. "It's not like you're helpful anyway. All you did was potentially get yourself hurt. It was actually pretty distracting. I'd hate to even have someone like you get hurt on my watch, contrary to what I said earlier, you know."
she wasn't really looking for a fight so much as she had had some steam to blow off; especially after beign told her money she'd brought with her wasn't good enough. It was most certainly more desirable than the stupid paper jewels everyone around here was using. Those weren't even jewels! They were paper called jewels. Whatever. "Just, you know, next time try not to put yourself in needless danger, okay?" Bloo looked to Hawke, making another growl noise, this time obviously echoing Pyrrha's sentiment.
"It's not an excuse if it's true," He countered with a shrug. Then he folded his arms against his chest and turned his back to her. His hair was pulled back rather well for a boy doing it, and Pyrrha had a good view of it now. "I was doing as I pleased. That's what got you and your little... cute cat sized lizard thing upset in the first place."
"Besides, you're the one that should be more careful," he said pointedly with his back still turned to her. "Those two wouldn't have followed you if you hadn't been practically shouting and waving that gold coin around in everyone's view. I mean, come on. It's common sense to not flail your valuables around like that."
"I don't know where you came from," He said turning his head so he could get a side long glance. "But here you have to be careful, or you're not the only one getting hurt."

This boy actually had the gall to tell her that she was the one who needed to be careful! Of course she'd been waving money around! There was a stupid woman who wouldn't accept a universally precious metal as payment! She would have probably been able to take off work for the day, at least, with the tip from a single coin! Pyrrha let out a frustrated growl as he told her that she was the one that needed to be careful. She'd been trusted by a dragon to get her frigging egg back! What did this boy know about her that Belfyire didn't? Nothing, that was what.
"Yeah well, thanks for the advice, but I'm fine," she managed, obviously straining to hold her temper in check. Bloo's noises said he wanted her to dismiss him and walk away, but Pyrrha was hard-headed; her cute looks didn't mean she always had an adorable personality (despite what Pyrrha might say). "I know exactly what I'm doing. These guys weren't even that dangerous to a trained dracoknight like myself, you know." Surely even the Dumb boy saw that, right?
"Thugs like these no," Hawke shrugged and shook his head slowly. She was getting the wrong impression about Fiore... And he couldn't wholly blame her for it. But he was going to anyway because she was such a brat about it. He gave her a wry, almost sarcastic grin as he continued. "Some of the people here in Fiore have been either fighting, or learning to fight most of their lives. There's quite a few really strong people that do the same thing as these two."
"But since you can take care of yourself you do whatever you want," If he found her beat up, he'd do what he always did. He'd just heal her up and send her on her way. Probably for free if she didn't have money. He had little faith that she'd actually make it in Fiore. But then... people thought that about him too and he was still around and kicking. So he wasn't going to say anything.
"I'll be around with the bandages and medicine if you do get into the trouble I think you will," He said shrugging and shoving his hands into his pockets. Part of him wanted to be nice to her. But part of him wanted to say screw it and walk away. And he really wasn't sure which was more appealing at this point.
"But it'd be nice if you don't." he added as he took a couple steps. But only a couple. He couldn't deny that he wanted friends. But most didn't travel either. It was a good opportunity logically... to ask if he could tag along. It'd be better than always just running. But then he remembered how grating she'd been the entire time and decided against saying anything at all.

"Well what do you think I've done, Mister Blondie?" Pyrrha crossed her arms and continued to frown at the back of his head as he turned around somewhat dramatically. "I've been training to fight too. I'm the best even out of my four older brothers you know!" She sighed. He really got her riled up. She could tell. He obviously could. What was with this boy?
He told her he would be around with bandages and medicine, and that she could do what he wanted. It was obvious he had no faith in her, even after she'd basically shown him up in every way. Her scowl deepened and didn't lessen when he said it would be nice if she didn't get herself hurt. It was probably supposed to be nice. She was angry enough it just sounded more like lack of confidence. She stuck out her tongue at the back of his head. "Yeah well, I just won't get hurt then I won't have to come find you." she insisted stubbornly.
"Trained to fight huh...?" Hawke scratched at the back of his head. There was a thoughtful look on his face, though Pyrrha wouldn't see it. No, all she'd see was the shrug he gave. He thought back to what he'd left behind. That training, the confidence that came with it, the glory, and the death. What drove everyone to it? The next thought he spoke aloud, though more to himself than to her. "I wonder how many people trained to fight, only to die miserable deaths?"
"Well, I guess it doesn't matter much if you're the winner, right?" He started walking, one hand in his pocket. The other offered her a back handed wave. He forced himself to go despite whatever her response would be. "If I never have to heal you, it'd be for the best. If only because that would be one less pain in my ass to deal with. Take care." The take care was genuine, despite his sarcastic demeanor...
