Long dark brown hair and icy blue eyes are the first thing one notices when they look at Kotone. She has fair skin and somewhat cocky demeanor. Though she only looks about eighteen, She's got an athletic build, a lot like a gymnast. She has long legs and a mostly hourglass figure - pretty impresive for someone who just had a kid, if she does say so herself. She's as graceful as a dancer and as strong as a bear. She tends to wear dark clothing, favoring shorts or skirts that show off her legs. On her back is a lacrima-embedded Katana, enchanted to be unbreakable rather than giving her another type of magic. Her guild tattoo is on her upper left arm, colored black.
personality
Kotone is a strong-willed (some would say stubborn) woman who has the attitude of someone who could take on the world and come out on top. She's socially agressive (though not to the extent she once was), and she isn't one to waste time with niceties that aren't earned. She's as likely to throw a punch as an insult if you really get on her nerves. Her marriage to Kade has done little to tame her, and she's as fiery as when she was sixteen.
That said, Kotone has been through a lot since Krendall the Ice Dragon left her alone in the world, and she's come quite far from the bitter teenage girl that showed up in Lamia Scale when she was seventeen. She's an incredibly loyal and caring friend, wife, and mother, and though she can get a bit intense in her efforts, she always means well for the people closest to her.
Kotone fears no one, and having had time to mature considerably in social stituations, that includes large groups of people. Though she refuses to take any real position in her guild, she is a natural born leader.
Kotone has always been a heroic type, and is hardly one to sit idly by when she can do something to help even a complete stranger. She's as aggressive as a tiger in a fight, rarely wasting time giving the enemy a chance to get lucky.
Kotone was born the youngest daughter of Sophia and Cornelius Argon, Cornelius being the man who would one day run Fiore during its darkest hours. She was lost at a very young age when robbers killed her mother and left her for dead while they were out on a trip, and she was found by Krendall the Ice Dragon, who raised her to be the next Ice dragon slayer.
When she was eight, Krendall left, leaving the girl to fend for herself in an unfamiliar world. Though she adjusted quickly, she suffered from the mental trauma of the knowledge she'd been abandoned twice in her life by those that were supposed to be her family. Though she stayed true to her dragon father's teachings, she became an embittered teenage girl, always causing fights of various kinds, and even getting thrown out of entire towns on occasion.
This changed when she met people such as Roejaster Rallands and Ren Caverly (her best friend for years now). She slowly adjusted, learning to care about people despite fearing they would one day leave her. Over time, she became closer to the woman that Krendall had envisioned her to be.
She spent the next months after becoming stronger, physically, mentally, and magically as she strove to make up for how lax she had become when she was busy hating the people she claimed to protect, learning magic from a powerful hermit and even mastering a few secret dragon slayer techniques. Most importantly: She found Kade Lazarus - the man who tamed the wild dragon slayer and captured her heart.
When the real fighting broke out and the Shadow Lord tried to take Fiore for his own, she was there, fighting alongside friends who risked (and sometimes gave) everything to make sure Fiore would be saved. She fought in every event from then on out, becoming more and more of a legend in the peoples' eyes.
In addition to being a hero, Kotone eventually became a wife and (more recently) a mother. She now has to learn to balance a family with her obligations - a challenge far scarier than facing down evil empires and dragons.
Primary Magic
Name: Enhanced Ice Dragon Slayer Description: Kotone's primary magic is aggressive, fast, and surprisingly durable. Honed in years of practice and live combat, Her maker-like dragon slayer magic forms fast and strikes faster. She can create storms of ice, weapons, or even armor at a moment's notice. She's easily one of the foremost masters of ice magic. In addition, Kotone managed to harness forgotten techniques to absorb some of the rampant magic present in the battle with Nox and the dragons, which gave Kotone a permanent 'boost' to her abilities.
In addition, she' s got the standard load of dragon slayer abilities, such as an immunity to cold, the ability to eat ice and ice spells (other than hers) in order to regain strength, super strength, increased speed, and super senses.
Signature Ability
Name: Ice Dragon's Wrath Element: Ice (Dragon Slayer) Description: Ice Dragon's Wrath is a move Kotone developed long ago; she channels her ice dragon slayer abilities to increase her own physical and magical abilities greatly, all the while chilling the air around her and causing it to feel like one is caught in a blizzard when they get near. It takes concentration, but while she sustains the ability, she attains a power that is second only to the legendary dragon force power.
