"I haven't met a Kotone," Tyr shook her head. It sounded like she had yet another dragon slayer to locate in the future though! "How long has it been since you saw her?" she asked curiously. She knew dragon slayers were supposed to age slower than normal people after they grew up, so it could have been longer than it looked. Humans were hard to keep track of though, she could just tell that Tatsuma was grown up... unlike her. The downside of being a dragon, perhaps. At least to people who cared.
"And why isn't not liking to fight normal? I don't mind killing deer and things for food..." she loved deer, actually. It was one of her favorites, and Fiore had more than she was used to having where she lived. "Buuut like, intelligent beings have actual lives and families and feelings. Even the bad ones. I just don't want to hurt them," she shrugged. "I'm sure I could if I wanted, but I don't."
He thought for a moment. Had it been two years? Should have been about that long since he saw her. He hadn't even gotten a wedding invitation. "It's been a while, two years maybe... but that's only since I glanced at her from a distance. We haven't really talked much since a bit before the whole incident with shadow heart and its inevitable demise. In any event it's been longer since I've seen Raven or any other dragon slayer, but besides that it's just been my experience that dragons are generally warriors or tyrants or... some sort of combatant... Or at least that's what Rhidran told me... and what I saw during the Nox incident... and what I've gotten from my meetings with other dragon slayers... I kinda just assumed. I mean you're the first actual dragon I've been able to sit down and have a conversation with." He explained while he slowly started to realize how clueless most of the world really was about dragons... Even now. His mother hadn't really taken time to talk to him before he entombed her, and this dragon was the best bet for him getting any answers about any of the rest of them. "Oh wait... so does this mean you can show me where dragon lairs are located?" He inquired, honestly curious to finally start learning something.
"I know where some dragons live," she confirmed. "A lot of dragons aren't fans of humans. They seem to think they're bad for the world and stuff. Probably leftover thinking from waaaaay back when when dragons enslaved humans and the nice dragons taught them to fight against the bad dragons." She shrugged nonchalantly. It wasn't an issue of hers. She wasn't human and thus she had no quarrel with them either way. She even liked some of them. In return, some of them even seemed to tolerate her.
"I don't understand humans and their need to have ceremonies to spend time with the other gender," she mused. "So a dragon slayer had one of those rituals? I hear there's good food at them. Sometimes even fish!" she was quickly getting distracted by her stomach. Small as she looked, her true form was about eight feet of dragon metabolism. She ate a lot of meat, and nothing else. "I don't catch many fish. Those are harder with claws. And especially hard in my human form. I don't really hunt in my human form, but I also don't tend to show humans my dragon form so it's hard to hunt unless I'm alone. Did you know humans are rather afraid of dragons lately? And that the ones that don't run tend to try to hunt small ones like me?"

"I don't know about all dragon slayers but she seems to be generally happy and I'm hearing she has a kid or two running around now which is surprising because I always used to tell her she had the sex appeal of a carrot." He ramnbled, briefly reminiscing about the experiences he had made. "As far as the wedding goes... I only know from hearing about her last name changing to his, I didn't exactly receive an invite based primarily on the fact that I.. He stopped for a moment and coughed for a second before finishing. "Mayhavegrabbedherbreastaftershebeatmeinafight." As quickly as he could possibly get through it. It was the last full memory he had with her, plus his own friends list wasn't exactly long. He didn't have very many friends on the grounds that he was always traveling and because they tended to lose touch. Kade, Kotone's husband, wasn't exactly his biggest fan either so it still wasn't on the forefront of his mind. Additionally, he didn't imagine she was very happy with him after working with her on a job as 'Mystogan' when he revealed that he was Tatsuma during the fight with the shadow lord that sparked the whole world having some problems issue. "So about these dragon lairs... how would you like to come with me and help me find them. I doubt I'll see Rhidran, but maybe I can find her lair or the lair of one of the other dragons that fell and make sure things get to the right place. I'm sure even dragons have wills, and the only dragon with anything that might have been willed to me is my mother... I mean Rhidran." He said, correcting himself due to the fact that he no longer viewed her as his mother. She lost that when he found his birth mother and was forced to fight her to help keep Fiore from being destroyed.
"... humans are weird." tyr tilted her head as Tatsuma told her about how Kotone was upset with him. She didn't yet understand a lot of human concepts - marriage, human sex appeal, and well... a lot of little things, really. Her reasoning for not inviting him to something important seemed rather petty, but then she was a reptile who was only disguised as a human. "I'll have to ask you about several things you just said sometime~" She didn't seem to particularly care to have him elaborate just now, though that was possibly because she had questions to address and didn't want to forget.
"IIIIII don't really think it's a goood idea to show you where the dragons live. They'd probably get really mad at me and that wouldn't be fun. We're kinda... really territorial. Usually. And grumpy. Also what's a will?" Dragons didn't really have wills... at least, not that she was aware of. Dragons very rarely died, and the one or two that had in the last couple hundred years hadn't exactly left her anything.
Tatsuma briefly thought about how to best approach this. He honestly didn’t mean any harm, but he wanted to get to Rhidran’s lair and he knew for a fact there were other dragons that had the power to either make him stronger, teach him something important about how to find her lair, or maybe provide him with some sort of weapon or trinket with which to get closer.
”I know you are, but there’s something for me to learn or gain from visiting their lair’s anyway. Plus this could start a whole new movement where dragons could help Fiore later in their hour of need and we can rebuild the gaps that were caused by Nox… and a will is something that you write or plan where you leave your possessions or knowledge to someone you trust. Besides I want to learn how to teach dragon slayer magic to my kids. This whole movement could start with us.” He explained, hoping it would all translate well. He was trying to take advantage of the fact that she was a young dragon with the hopes that she was more open minded than the others and wouldn’t require as much convincing. ”Besides, they don’t have to know you’re showing me. As far as any of them need to know I figured it out on my own.” He added with a wink.
"Yeah, you don't seem to know a lot about dragons and how they seem to know everything and even I haven't figured out how they do it," Tyr deflated a bit. She didn't exactly want to make enemies with her kin. Still, the way Tatsuma spoke... she supposed she could outline a few things. Pushing him in the right direction wasn't exactly revealing lairs... was it? Tyr nearly opened her mouth to spill the beans when an idea hit her. The small Wyrm's eyes opened wider when she thought of her.
"Then again... There's one dragon who might not get too mad if you bring her a present..." She pointed at the ground as focused wind energy carved a sort of map into a spot that had been a dirt patch even before Tatsuma regrew the plant life that had been there previously. She started carving a sort of map of the former Valland Empire - a place Tyr was from but had paid far less attention to than any mortal had. "See, Rixtrel is an iron element dragon who makes her home in the mountains here somewhere. I only went when I was really young and mother had business with her," Tyr admitted, "She had a whooole lotta stuff. I hear she even has wyverns who serve her so she doesn't have to leave her treasures anymore. She's one of the largest and greediest dragons around. Most of her brood was killed by some previous generation of dragon slayers, but she told Mother they deserved it when she tried to tell her she was sorry for her loss."
The story was intriguing, but the dragon didn’t sound like it would be very empathetic. That of course meant that he would have to seem ruthless and cunning if he was going to get anywhere with her and then of course he would have to bring her a gift and seem simultaneously subservient. ”So what kind of gift would this largest and greediest of dragons want? I mean I grabbed a few trinkets from the underworld when I was there, but I have no idea what kind of thing to bring her.” He explained, thoroughly unsure as to how exactly the interaction was going to go, especially since he was in charge of now going there by himself, into the former Valland empire, looking for dragons at the direction of a dragon, a creature that he knew to be both whimsical and mischievous at times and without any warning. This one was young and seemed honest enough but there were still patched of information he was concerned about. Speaking of which; ”And how do you think she’s going to react to me looking for dragon lairs? I mean if she lost her brood to other dragon slayers I can’t imagine that she’s going to be too thrilled to just help out another dragon slayer.” He suggested.
"Dragons..." Tyr meandered over to Tatsuma, holding up the golden dragon orb tied around her neck. "We like shiny things. Sky dragons like me tend to like them more than other dragons, but I haven't known a single dragon that doesn't like to collect gold things. Especially big, fancy, human-made gold things. We dragons don't have the proper claws for it~" She wiggled her fingers at Tatsuma. "Not many dragons bother to learn human form magic. Most don't like to interact with humans enough~"
Tyr hopped up into a tree next to Tatsuma, kicking her feet a bit and giving him a big grin. "As for what she'll think... You know how lightning dragons tend to be, and you know a few others by reputation by now. Well, iron dragons are stubborn. Very stubborn. But they're also very self-absorbed. It's just natural to them. I doubt she'll care too much as long as she can benefit from it."
Tatsuma thought about it for a moment. Wasn’t this girl a sky or wind dragon? She seemed to be using some sort of wind magic, but he was thoroughly convinced that her inexperience and general pacifism was going to end up getting her killed or at least captured and experimented on. He wasn’t about to let on, but he was a bit concerned about her and he apparently had a soft spot for young dragons. ”Well why don’t you come with me. If nothing else that should ease some of the communication, plus I’m still up for starting to repair some of the damage that was caused by the incident with Nox. I’m sure if people saw me with a dragon helping the people of Fiore it would make a huge difference in how they regard dragons then and how they regard them now. I’m still hoping to make some sort of difference here besides searching for my mother’s lair.” He said in earnest.
It wasn’t a selfish attempt to make this process easier, he doubted it would decrease the level of danger anyway, but he wasn’t about to approach one of the other dragon slayers to ask for help. The only two that he knew of to begin with were both guilty of having slain at least one dragon as he understood it and he wasn’t going to take any risks. Besides, if it was for a last ditch effort he could show Tyr where Rhidran was as a measure of good faith. It was a fairly well kept secret at this point, but if it would make a difference he would do it.
”Besides, what else are you doing with your life right now?”
Tatsuma was playing his 'travel the world with me' card rather hard, which Tyr did look a bit interested in. She kicked her legs while leaning her head on the palm of her hand, a small grin on her face the entire time. "See, to answer your question," she hopped down from the tree again, not having any real desire to sit still for long at the moment. "Well I'm kiiiinda stalking this human I freed from an experiment who has dragon slayer powers implanted in him so he doesn't freak out and hurt people since he seems confused about life and has no memories from before his capture. Kinda. When I feel like it."
She blew her hair back that had fallen into her eye as she stood there managing to look like it was a completely innocent ordeal in her own mind. "Well, that's not entirely true, I cast a spell so I always know where he's at and right now he seems to be behaving. More or less." Her green eyes looked Tatsuma over over quickly before her hand shot out to move her hair more properly. She shifted her stance again. "Not that I mind if you want to name drop me or something sometimes, but I don't tend to get too involved with human's ideas. Theeeey tend to think they're doing the best thing no matter how silly it is." That was, of course, coming from the most impulsive young dragon to be born in over a thousand years.
Wait a tic, dragon slayer powers implanted into him? Tracking magic? This little dragon’s life had become a bit complicated in recent times it sounded like. ”This person regularly get into trouble?” He asked, suddenly now incredibly interested in this new subject. He wasn’t so distracted that it kept him from doing what he was planning, but interested enough that he might have a new idea about who to partner up with. ”And what do you mean human’s ideas? I mean sure they can be a bit stubborn, but they really aren’t that bad.” He said, acknowledging her while at the same time disagreeing with her. Despite his disagreement, he could see where humans made stupid decisions and held grudges for things that were more troublesome to hold a grudge over than it was for them to just evaluate it and move past it. Hell, the fact that humans tended to be overly sentimental and let their emotions cloud their judgement was the reason he tended to do things on his own or form small covert groups for whatever operations he thought of.
The more he thought about her statement, the more he started to realize that he didn’t actually disagree with her about humans, though he did get the feeling that she was referring to him as one of them and he felt somehow both proud and insulted. ”Humans are flawed, but so are dragons and dragon slayers. No one is exempt from making mistakes.” he reminded.
"Weeell it's hard to get in trouble when no one sees anything but a mask~" Tyr grinned, rubbing the back of her head with a chuckle. She found his primitive mask to be a neat but flawed idea. It wasn't impossible to learn a masking technique like Tyr's own, though almost no human could maintain it for long.
"I mean human ideas are so impulsive. I know my ideas are impulsive too, but they're better thought out than you might think," she reasoned with a shrug. "What makes you think a dragon wants to see a dragon slayer, or that it will help foster peace between our races?" she asked him, her question more pointed than her tone. "Or that most dragons even have anything against humans?"
"I can promise you I won't help much either way. I'm a biiiiit of an outcast among dragons. Not like an official outcast or anything, but when it comes to a dragon's social heirarchy, I'm far closer to human than dragon." she tugged at her ponytail. "Ever wonder why more dragons don't disguise themselves in cute human forms like mine? It's not exactly what they consider the most dignified behavior. What with us being the superior race and all. No offense."

Mask? Like a literal one or the type of spell he had used to parade around as Mystogan before. It was more her question though that got him to thinking. ”I don’t think they WANT to see a dragon slayer, but I’m less concerned about the dragons’ outlook on humans as I am about what humans think about them. I think that seeing a dragon try to help people might make everyone see them in a different light. Still, I’m starting to think that there’s more going on in Fiore that I’m unaware of. Dragons will still be there if I decide to go later, what with them being the superior race and all.” He said, the last part added with his tongue hanging out.
He wanted to ask more about this friend of hers, but he had his own concerns with trying to meet back up with some of his former associates after all the time he had been away, and now there was the matter of this person Tyr was watching. If a dragon had her eye on him it didn’t sound like there was going to be any problems. Still, he was less inclined to worry about specific details, though admittedly he was a bit jealous that a dragon was paying attention to someone even if they were a dragon slayer derivative. ”Also about this captured dragon slayer person, what else can you tell me about him?”
Tyr just chuckled at his teasing about dragons being the superior race. It was true; they were more durable, they didn't get old, and they weren't so limited in their view of time... though Tyr had learned that dragon slayers weren't either, though she was pretty sure none of the current ones knew that. Still, it wasn't the humans' fault, and she knew they were as smart as dragons overall. Their tenacity and their numbers helped them accomplish things dragons took far longer to do. "There's a lot going on in Fiore. There's a lot going on all over the place," she informed him, never losing her grin.
"He likes to go by Eclipse," she told Tatsuma, crossing her arms as she shuffled her feet a bit to change her stance. "He doesn't always wear a mask, but I bet your senses would tell you he smelled a lot like a dragon slayer." She paused and thought. "Then again, you lightning types don't have as strong of senses of smell. Still, it's preeeetty obvious to someone strong like you." Tyr stepped up to Tyr, looking straight up at him.
